DiscoveryLand Camp - Thornhill

I highly recommend this summer camp to any working parent who wants the best time for their little ones during the summer holidays. The programming is great, with different amazing activities, sports, arts and stems, themes and excursions, and lots of time spent outdoors. This is going to be our second summer with Discovery Land Camp, and my kids are so excited and counting down the days till camp starts!

I cannot speak highly enough of DiscoveryLand camp. They went above and beyond to ensure that campers had the best experience and were well looked after. My 11yo and 5 yo started from week one and I cancelled all other places to spend more weeks with this camp. The staff are very friendly and give you personal feedback about your kids. Every week includes water games, sports, a fun drama and STEM as well as unique activities for weekly theme. The leadership aspect and personal encouragement are so unique we never had in other places. The firefighter’s visit was very memorable, too! With all the consequences of Covid and remote learning, this camp is really making a positive impact to kids' lives! Thank you for a wonderful summer!

Some of the best summer memories I have are from discovery land camp. There are new activities to do each day and many friendships to make.

The activities are well organized, with a wide variety of experiences for the kids, including special guests and exciting field trips. The staff is very caring towards the children.

A great camp for kids of all ages. My kids, ages 6 and 11, thoroughly enjoyed discoveryland’s day camp this summer. Trips to the splash pad were very memorable. Meeting new friends and engaging in a variety of activities was the best part. My older one attended their overnight camp 4 years ago, and it was the best experience of her life.

My son had the most fabulous time at Discovery Land Camp this summer. His four weeks there were both enriching and enjoyable. From a parent perspective, the staff, leadership, and variety of activities are among the best I have ever seen at day camps—and the camp fee is very reasonable. The firefighters' and York police officers' visits were very memorable. The camp pictures were such a great bonus! Not to mention a safe environment. The kids were constantly reminded to wear a sunhat and drink water. Outdoor activities were conducted in a shady location, which is critical given the hot weather we've had this summer. Looking forward for the next season!

I’ve never considered leadership for my 6 year old until I saw the leadership through fun program at this Camp. It’s actually a great idea to start young, I wish he can open up and speak out more at school, as sometimes he knows the answers but is too shy to speak. The mix of camp activities is also impressive! My older one attended their overnight camp a few summers ago and really liked it.

Both of my kids were only at this camp for one week but they loved each day and always came home excited to tell me everything. The looked forward to going every morning as the staff are patient and kind and they planned many engaging activities for the kids. I will definitely send my kids next summer!

My 6-year old daughter had a wonderful experience this summer. Highlights included the combining of several age groups for certain activities together, excellent quality water park visits, educational activities that were on-theme" for secret agents

The best summer camp. Interesting program and everything is perfectly organized.
