Paddle West Kayaking

Had a perfect morning with Morgan from Paddle West Kayaking. She instructed and guided very well abd it was simply stunning. Highly recommended - especially the approx 4h outing where you also get to stop on an island.

Lovely experience kayaking in Tofino with paddle west kayaking. The instructor was knowledgeable, friendly, allowed for taking photos and explained the area well. Booking with the company was also very easy and we were luckily able to do so the night before! Great way to spend a few hours in the area.

Great introduction to sea kayaking! We took the harbour tour with Janessa, Wich was about 2 hour on the water, half an hour on the dock. We never sea kayaked before, so we wanted a nice and easy tour, which it was. It was fun to explore the harbour and learn more about the history of the town. We didn't see any wildlife, except bald eagles. Janessa took a starfish out of the water for us to pet.

Really fun and unique kayaking experience. Our super helpful and chill guide Emma kept the itinerary interesting as fog kept the tour in the inlet longer than expected, but we did manage to get out to more open water and swells when it cleared out. Animal sightings included numerous seals and sea lions (one of which gave me a friendly chase), sea stars, and even a bald eagle. Highly recommend!

We did a 4 hour Ucluelet coast tour with Alex and really enjoyed it. The paddling was not particularly challenging, but we did stay moving most of the time.Would definitely go again and recommend for anyone with at least a moderate level of fitness.

We did a 6 hour Vargas kayak tour with Alice and it was fantastic. So scenic and Alice was an amazing guide, she was so knowledgeable about the marine life and biology and my husband and I really enjoyed spending the day with her paddling.

Alex was the tour guide and went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable as I had indicated I was new to sea kayaking.

We did a beautiful 4 hour tour with the most pleasant tour guides, Alex and Mel. We saw lots of animals on sea and in the air, and had a lunch break on a stunning island just off the shore. Highly recommended!

We recently had a great trip with Paddle West. When we showed up for our tour it was quite windy. Since we were experienced kayakers they gave us the option to go out in a double kayak (more stable) or come back another day if we would be more comfortable. We ended up going for it and it was so fun! The waves were quite high and the wind strong but it made it an adventure (albeit a wet one). The scenery is absolutely beautiful. We did the tofino tour out to Meres Island. Our guide Marianne was excellent. She was super friendly and knowledgable. She shared a lot about the history of the area and all about the animals. She was such a great guide when we got to the trails on Meres Island as well. We really enjoyed our time with her. She also made sure to check in regularly with us to make sure everyone was comfortable in the conditions and even stopped to take pictures of us which she airdropped to us at the end. I would highly recommend the trip. It was a super reasonable price as well.
