Harbour View Haven

Nursing home is chronically understaffed. Staffing is frequently covered by temporary people who do not know the residents or their particular needs. Residents are left to fend for themselves much of the time with a staff member occasionally checking in on them. There are some longterm employees that truly care about the residents but they have little support so care is stretched very thin. Patients wander aimlessly through the hallways with minimal activities available. No particular care is given to ensure residents have their false teeth in, glasses on or hearing aids in.

I worked there as a nurse for about a year, i needed verification of my employment for nnas for my RN assessment, I requested them with forms to fill in Dec 2021 , called several times , emailed again in Feb and then again in Aug , in between callled several times but no positive response. After a year I had to renew my nnas file by paying extra because of this employer. At the end , I requested NNAS to waive my employment with harbour view haven which they did.But I wasted my almost 9 months.Just a suggestion that if you will need verification or any paper work after leaving this job , think twice before joining.

HVH is a well run, caring place for our community seniors who require care. As a town we are fortunate to have HVH in our midst, and for those of us who are fortunate enough to have loved ones live there - peace of mind that they are receiving top quality care.
