Great trail. Some good portions of it were lined by hedges of yummy wild raspberries. The lower falls were great. One can hardly see the upper ones on the way up to the lake, but what you can see is rewarding. The lake was nice. Some people fished and caught some cutthroats. It was a great day to the lake and back.

The trail up to Bertha lake is fairly even at first, then gets into quite a few uphill switchbacks. As long as you come prepared, pace yourself and hydrate you're in for some beautiful views & a very interesting wildfire landscape.

Great hike! Not alot of shade. One part of the trail is missing, go through grass, 2-3 minutes back onto the path. Went for a swim at the lake. Beautiful day, hike,. Friendly people. Wouldn't suggest for 10yr & under/inexperienced hikers.

Great hike. Car park has spaces for a few cars but is easily walkable from town area. Initial section is a gradual climb through wooded area to Bertha Point where there is a good view of the lake. Medium slope then up to the falls. On to the lake is a much steeper path. Is a popular hike but generally less people after the waterfall.

Awesome hike! If you continue all the way up to Bertha lake it’s about 5.5km one way. The views on the way up are incredible.

Breathtaking view on the hike up to the falls. I actually thought the views up and down were more rewarding than than the falls, although still worth the trip up. Even the wildlife was peaceful and I walked with deer most of the way.Still bring bear spray*

We did the Lower Bertha falls and it was incredible! Very high reward to effort ratio. Just so beautiful all the way with lots of variety. A must do on your visit!

Amazing hike... the views are unbelievable... definitely gets a bit more challenging past the lower bertha falls, but seeing lake berth was so worth it, it was so beautiful. Took us about 3.5 hours from the trail head to complete the hike roundtrip, the trail was really well maintained, there was actually a group of Parks Canada employees fixing up a stretch of it as we made out way up.

The Bertha Trailhead provides a great starting point to Bertha Falls and Lake. Kind of busy, but a major hiking road and Crypt Lake was closed so more people were hiking. The weather was excellent. The hike was moderate with a steady incline after the falls. However people of all ages and sizes were hiking it, and dogs too. Gorgeous views at top. Took. 1.5 hours up, and 1 hour down.
