I can say he is very friendly, but I went and got my tattoo dec 15 2020 (fresh non healed pic), have always taken proper care of my tattoos and it is now September 2021 and my tattoo is already heavily fading. Charges average pricing

Hern is phenomenal at his work, great atmosphere, line work and shading are on point.. would recommended anyone looking to get a tattoo to schedule in here at Riva's!I'm sure to return in the near future as I have him putting a sleeve together for me

BEWARE! I went here for a spontaneous tattoo and came in when I shouldn’t have. I had a very bad experience and the only employee, the owner, pressured me and rushed me into getting a tattoo that I shouldn’t have got. He doesn’t care about what you’re getting or where you’re getting it, he just cares about your money. In my opinion its half my fault, half his.He pressured and rushed me by lying and saying he had a person right after me and that he couldn’t do the tattoo unless we were going to start that second. He barely let me look at the stencil and really put forward a sense of urgency that if I wanted the tattoo we had to start that second. He even came toward me pretending he was about to wash the stencil off as he really didn’t have time. I did really want it and I trusted him, but I didn’t know much about placement so he put the tattoo on my arm in a horrible spot thats on the side of it, never mentioning once that the placement is horrible for an arm tattoo. Looking back I was heavily rushed by him and lied to. He never had a client afterwards. I saw him leaving the shop after I did. He was going home cause it was late and he closed up after me. The tattoo I wanted was way more detailed and well done than the one he did for me. The placement was horrible and he didn’t put an effort compared to other tattoo’s i’veseen that he’s done.He doesn’t care at all what headspace you’re in, how you’re feeling and if anything, looking back on the day I went in, he did everything he could to steer me into getting a tattoo that wasn’t what it was supposed to be. Yes I agreed to it, and yes I ultimately came in and got the tattoo that I asked for but I do think a professional tattoo artist should be aware about who’s coming in and if they’re prepared for a tattoo. He didn’t try to help me with the whole experience, he made it horrible. He never had a client after me, he simply pretended he did so he could give me that bad tattoo and rush me into it. I think it gives him some sort of satisfaction to mess with someones body that he doesn’t like. He gave me a refund after cussing at me on the phone even though he’s the bad person in this story. He wasn’t remorseful at all and even made a few comments that were negative about the tattoo to further try and aggravate me. I was nice and friendly to this guy the whole time and he played me.The owner is not a professional person and if he doesn’t like you for whatever reason, he may mess up your tattoo and screw you over for life. Becareful going to this shop!!!

Got my first tattoo at Rivas ink. Hernan did an awesome job getting that detailed linework done. Came to his shop after I saw the work he did on my girlfriend. He's very patient, skilled and he knows his craft well - all for a very fair price. My girlfriend and I will definitely come back for more.

I got a tattoo on my neck. I absolutely love the work that was done!!!It is really good shading and way better then what I originally wanted.It healed really quickly.I got it done 2 weeks ago.I'm hoping to get more done here in the future.I would have given 5 stars however I did have to fight to get my appointment in.I had booked my appointment 2 months in advance and then day of my appointment he cancelled it and told me that he would fit me in sometime next week.I had to call and text him and keep checking in to get my appointment. But once I did the service was great.I requested to book another appointment for January but still haven't got a reply.
