Terrible. Absolutely awful. Not only are the buildings in terrible need to be updated, they need to be cleaned, at the very least. The superintendent is awful and her bf or partner or whoever harassed me and threatened to have my car towed on a number of occasions on made up reasons". Some of the residents are good people just trying to find an affordable building to build a life (myself included). But

I would never rent under EIWO ever again. The employees are extremely rude and the properties are poorly maintained. Our apartment had a huge crack in the bedroom window letting in a draft (which the landlord was aware of when we originally signed a lease), and after countless maintenance request forms, it never got fixed (we lived there for 2 YEARS). The water temperature in our shower fluctuated whenever someone in the building flushed a toilet or had the sink running. Our toilet constantly leaked despite our maintenance requests. Not to mention the constant smell of weed and cigarette smoke in the hallways (because smoking outside the building was not enforced). When we finally decided to move out, we were met with hostility from the property manager. I would ask questions, and get a reply stating we don't have time for this

156 Duke Street West. They do not fix maintenance requests and the laundry machines do not work. The hot water is terrible, if anyone flushes in the building your shower goes burning hot.People shoot up in the alley beside the building as well and EIWO refuses to put up a fence.The landlord tries to intimidate you when you ask to get basic things fixed (even though the lease states that they will fix it). It's not worth the cheap rent- you get what you pay for.

The superintendent couple in my building are great. Had a plumbing issue a few months after I moved in, they got it dealt with the day after I informed them. The rent is pretty fair for where I live and the building is in good shape. This management company, superintendents and building itself are way better than some of the places I have lived.

They took over our building about a year ago. Absolutely horrible. Raised prices but now nothing gets done. Snow isn’t shovelled and parking lot is the last to get plowed out of all the buildings in my area. Nice supers in the building but not really sure what their job is.

I have lived at the 8 Birkeshire building for almost 2 years now. Horrible up keep of their building regarding heated water. You can't even take a shower with out getting burnt when your neighbor is rinsing dishes, showering or washing their hands! Don't even get me started with their parking! I have received a complaint about parking within the lines... I own a vw golf a small car and have picture proving that others don't not park to allow room for my car. My car has already been scratched by my wonderful" neighbor

Absolutely the worst!! they won't return our calls, won't return our emails while we are dealing with mold, bad isolation and health issues related to the unsanitary windows. While our rent keep going higher and higher and the maintenance is getting worse and worse...

We lived for one year and had a break in and lost most of our valuables, after we reported to the building manager, who seemed very passive about it, suggested changing locks, after complaining to the management for better action, they responded by saying these things are common and frequent. We left the building because of its poor security and ignorant nature. Extremely rude and miser people, hope they atleast install a cctv for safety of other tenants. Won't recommend ever.

A horrible company that's void of morality. The landlords and superintendents are directly responsible for causing incidents of harassment, violence, and suffering of many long term tenants by allowing known criminals to move in to their apartments without checking any references at all. Any issues that are brought to them involving harassment or criminals, they ignore and deny any responsibility. They harass the tenants by leaving threatening postings throughout their buildings which leads to angry retaliations that affect all the tenants. They enter apts without permission and get charged for it, and yet they learn nothing from it. They violate tenant's rights and human rights all to make money on cheap dumpy apartments.
