A Second Family Dog Lodge

Second Family Dog Lodge is amazing! Being a busy sports family, we are so lucky to have a place like this for our pups when we’re away! Whether it’s day care or over night stays, knowing they’re so well cared for makes it easier when we have to leave them behind. The Carlyle area is so extremely lucking to have a facility like this!

I never considered taking my dog to doggy day care or kennelling her until I moved to Carlyle and heard such wonderful things about the Dog Lodge. Skeeb has shown great improvements in separation anxiety, and anxiety around new people and other dogs since I started bringing her to day care, for which I am very grateful for. They go above and beyond to provide a clean, safe, and fun experience, and I always know she will be well loved and taken care of by the staff when she is there. It is little things like the staff noticing your pup is in need of a nail trim and offering for Andrea to take care of it while your dog is there for the day that makes the Dog Lodge extra special. A second family indeed!

This place is incredible. The quality and work that goes into their everyday is unparalleled. The openness and transparency of there dog care is unbeatable as well as the technology put into your pets care, I've never seen before. Dogs come and leave happy. Be assured your fur babies do in fact have a second home here!!!

We know when our dog stays here all his specific needs are met. We’ve never noticed any behavioural changes that are typically associated with boarding because this family treats your dog as family. We are so grateful to know when we leave for a few days we never have to worry about our dog. Deb, Blair and Nicole have so much experience with dogs and truly love each pup that walks through the doors.

I know I can relax when my dogs are cared for here. A second family it truly is.Facilities are clean with lots of activities for the dogs to do including a large indoor play area for days that are too hot or too cold to be outside. Staff is amazing with animals and humans.

The Second Family Dog Lodge has a incredible facility and super friendly staff! My dog absolutely loves going! I don't have to worry about my dog at all when I'm at work or on holidays because I know he's having the best time with his second family! :)

Great care .They sent a picture of him playing .It was reassuring since it was his first long stay. When dropping off your dog they make notes on everything . It's like sending your dog on a first class vacation. Everyone is happy.They are also very good at responding to text messages.

FANTASTIC! Beautiful log home B&B - they've thought of everything! Plus a place to lodge your dog if needed! Amazing hosts made us feel so welcome. Breakfast was tops both mornings we stayed there! Whether you're on a long trip or live close by, this is a place to go to feel rested.

I absolutely love having my dogs at their lodge! The staff and owners are very attentive to each dogs needs, diet, health and welfare. The facility is so up to date with many new additions and safe! My 3 fur babies love their time there when mom's away and the staff don't ever mind their kisses and energy. I will recommend their facility and services always! Thanks so much for providing a safe, secure and wonderful place for our babies when we have to be away!

The dog lodge has become a life saver for our busy family, it also helps that Quinn loves the staff there more then her own family!
