Applecross Dental

I had been putting off going to the dentist for far too long when I decided to go in for a check up at my regular office and I was fairly disappointment to find out I had waited too long and needed an extraction. Not wanting to lose the tooth I came to Applecross where Dr.Protzer thought he could probably save it. Amazing work, with no pain at all despite having most of my tooth removed. I've never been in such a nice office, with such friendly staff, and with such care for their patients.

Wonderful experience! Dr. Kwok, the hygienist and front desk staff were all so friendly and kind! You made a nervous 3 year old love going to the dentist - thank you for making it such a positive experience (i.e., had a large variety of toys in the lobby, showing how the equipment works with Mr. Thirsty" drinking and refilling a glass of water before polishing teeth

By far the nicest dental office I have ever visited. Very friendly and professional staff. Dr. Protzer is extremely knowledgeable and made my experience stress free and pain free. Top notch business, 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a dental office.

I had to have an emergency root canal and was in terrible pain. Dr. Protzer and his staff were so very accommodating and got me in right away. I continued having a lot of pain into my weekend and Dr. Protzer saw me on a Sunday which to me, was above and beyond and so so appreciated!He took his time to explain everything he was doing which helped ease my anxiety (I'd never had a root canal).He is an exceptional dentist, I couldn't recommend him or his clinic more!

It was my first time meeting Dr. Protzer and I found him to be very personable and knowledgeable. He saved my smile - had a bad filling on my front tooth from previous dentist and he helped to rectify the problem. Now I can take pictures again and not feel ashamed!

The dentist was recommended by family. I decided to give them a shot taking $400 cash for me for a routine cleaning. After having only cleaning half of my teeth I was given the bill of $405 dollar. suffice it to say I delayed my next visit. I had chipped a tooth and came in for a consultation, which was met with another round of cleaning, the same teeth as before not the ones that were overlooked before. I had booked in an appointment for a crown which the earliest I could obtain was three months down the road. the prices were explained jovially about my tooth being pulled being $50 where as the crown $2500. The pain in my tooth became unbearable at times so much to the extent where it felt like it would explode. I left a message on the emergency line, explaining I had to go to the hospital for freezing and pleaded if I could get in any earlier to fix my tooth. The message was never returned.I decided it was time to see if any other dentist would be willing to do the procedure sooner. Upon receiving an actual" consultation the dentist was amazed that I was not instructed to immediately go on antibiotics by apple cross dental. He was able to see me the same day for a consultation and book me in within a month as he could understand why waiting in extreme pain may not be a happy option for me. After taking the antibiotics I feel like a new man already and able to focus at work and enjoy leisure again.Point of the story: I would have hoped as a client about to undergo a $2500 procedure already enduring pain

They were able to get me in quick with a cancellation and provided a fair quote for a root canal and crown based on the BC dental fee guide. I had a good experience with the hygienist and Klaus so far. After not seeing the dentist for years, he was able to give me a realistic outlook on what needs to be done without being overwhelming.Edit March 27: the root canal didn't hurt took s little less time than expected, he made it not so bad being a very nervous patient.

Dr Protzer was the dentist who finally helped me get over my fear of dental offices! He walked me through all the necessary work my mouth needed, with realistic costs and timelines of what takes priority. For nearly a decade before going to see him all my dental work has been only in an emergency" (which is actually how I ended up in his office

I never had a great smile, but in recent years, it had deteriorated even further; my two front teeth had a lot of wear from grinding. Dr. Protzer spent a lot of time explaining various options and price ranges to optimize my smile. After deciding on a carefully laid out game plan, we proceeded with three procedures - gum contouring, teeth whitening, and two veneers. Each visit, I was greeted like an old friend by the whole staff. My appointments were always on time, and every procedure was painless. I now have a FABULOUS smile nature never gave me.
