Mount Uniacke Pub & Eatery
Stopped their today for a quick bite at 1:15. The smell kind of put me off but I said No, lets give them a try. Keep it local. There were 2 other tables already seated when we ordered. After 25 minutes, I noticed 1 of the tables being served?? Uh Oh. 15 minutes after that, the other table was served. We waited another 10 minutes, still no food (we ordered 2 burgers and pan fried haddock). By that time, the smell and the noisy environment had done me in. We walked out, still hungry. Perhaps the smell was coming from the booth we were in, not sure but something needs to be done about it. The staff seemed to be doing their best but the cook needs to learn to use both hands.

Went tonight for supper with my husband, very disappointing. The minute you walk in the door the music is blaring and our table wasn't wiped down. My husband and I couldn't even hold a conversation because the music was so loud. My goodness, the waiter didn't even hear me!! He misunderstood me saying a Pepsi to drink, instead he brought me a beer! He forgot to bring us cutlery and food was just ok. Not sure if we'll return. Very different from years ago

Well,it's Sunday morning, 1145 & no one here. The web site says, opens at 11, the sign says, opens at 12, & the web site says, new winter hours 10 - 7. Someone needs to update this site. This is twice now, we have been here Sunday brunch & there hasn't been anyone here. What gives.

While a little hesitant when I first walked in with my teenage children as it seemed more like a bar than an eatery, we decided to stay and give it a try.Tons of character, very relaxed feeling. Reminded me of home in Cape Breton.And the food was delicious!!

Food here was great the first time we visited, and so we went again and it was even better! Great Burgers and Fish and Chips! Prices are great too! Staff is super friendly and the place is cozy!Definatly recommend this family owned Resturant.

This place was gross.We should have known as soon as we sat down and the table was sticky that it was not going to end well. We ordered some chicken bite things to start - for $10 they were dried out over cooked chicken nuggets with some dusting of spice on them. Got about 7 in the order.Ordered the steak, fries and veggies - veggies were still frozen. Steak was meh. Fries were just your typical frozen shoestring. Husband got burger and fries. The burger had some sauce on it that was a weird mix of sauces. His stomach started to turn before he even finished his meal.Will not be returning, especially when there are so many other places with better quality food for the same or lower prices. Yuck.
