I am not sure if this is the office that hire people for IH, for 3 years I applied for jobs. I didn't even get one call for a job interview. Hope is only valid if the system isn't already rigged and manipulated. One thing that I clearly understood from my experience is this, they are through and through racial gatekeepers. They make use of unnecessary hiring requirements for doing the job as a requirement to cancel out undesirable types of applicants who are qualified education-wise. Very same is true with TRU selection process. The macro-level, insidious, and systemic discrimination that doesn't provide an opportunity to step a proper career ladder should be exorcised from these institutions by legislation. The only place that doesn't have such gatekeeping in Kamloops is in the low-wage sectors, there it is about facing discriminatory practices brought from an international level after an entry to a job. Kamloops is an ideal place to research about visibly invisible strategies of such gatekeeping.
