Western Star Inn & Suites - Stoughton

If you want to have a bad time you should stay here. Because of its useless staff expect cold breakfasts even though the signs say free hot breakfast. Rooms will be half cleaned and miscellaneous cleaning supplies left in room leads me to believe that they only got part way threw cleaning then got distracted and left it the way they see fit. Breakfast milk was warm and the pop machine is expired" so expect to be thursty and hungry when you leave this dump. There is a poplar inn across the parking lot that iv stayed in and is 100% better then the western star. This place looks like it used to be good but new owners/operators have run this place far into the ground. My condolences to anyone who chooses to stay at this hotel."

I was here for 3 days and I like the rooms a lot. Very good appliances, the free hot meals everyday (breakfast and supper) is pretty awesome. I wish every hotel was like this. Also the price is very reasonable.

Nice clean comfortable hotel. Serves breakfast and Supper, which is a bonus. Food is excellent and always varied. Staff very friendly and engaging. I totally recommend staying here.

If your travelling from the South Dakota border and through Stoughton Sk then I defintely recommend this hotel. The hotel itself was very nice and very clean. The manager on duty was very hospitable. We were the only ones in the hotel at the time and had an early morning the next day, she made us cooked to order breakfast for 5:30am. Very good experience.

Showed up at 12:30am Apr. 28th 2023. Nobody at the front desk.Note on the front desk said call a number for assistance. phoned 5 times and waited 20 minutes in the lobby. rang the bell numerous times. Nobody answered.Stayed next door instead.What a joke.

Great service and good meals, Room is nice and price is right.Very helpful and available to you if you need anything, The management really cares.I strongly recommend this place if you enjoy a good place that feels like home.

Excellent service. Fantastic food (better than most restaurants and its complimentary 7 days a week). Clean rooms. Staff and management very friendly and helpful.

Room was always clean, food was good and the manager was very friendly. The manager was quick to remember all the guests names and what they are doing in town. It was a very pleasant experience and I will stay there again when I'm in town.

Manager is very friendly and helpful. Our first room had a refrigerator making a high pitched noise, we asked to be moved and were actually upgraded to a room with a full mini kitchen and loveseat, our previous room did not have those. Breakfast was pretty good, they had real scrambled eggs with added mushrooms-best I've had at a hotel! Tasty coffee too. Would recommend staying here if you're in the area.

We had booked through a 3rd party site after reading some very promising reviews. Plus they offered continental breakfast which is important during travel. The rooms where basic needs, soap/lotion dispensers instead of wasteful mini bottles, the room was clean and set for us upon arrival. The hotel manager was awesome, polite and courteous. He even informed us to call him next time we stay to inquire about better rates through him.
