One of the best Karate school in GTA. My kids has been a member of this community for over three years now. Great atmosphere with qualified instructors. If you are looking to enroll your kids in Karate, I definitely recommend Keiko Karate.

My husband and I really thought of putting our two daughters in martial arts for a long time. When we decided to focus on finding the right school for them. We were not just interested in having the girls learn self defense, but also for them to learn discipline, character building and self confidence which is very important to us. My husband called many schools and we visited some of them. When we spoke to Sensei Englund, he was very informative, passionate about teaching young people and also gave us an hour of his time to ask questions, interview him and he also gave the girls a training to make sure they were going to feel comfortable in his school. We have been at Keiko Ryu Do Martial Arts Dojo since 2013 and we have seen both our girls grow in so many ways, our eldest is now a junior assistant instructor and is part of the school's leadership program. The school not only focuses on Karate, but is very focused on creating an environment of inclusion, respect, responsibility, hard work, pushing the kids to always go out of their comfort zone and grow! We feel blessed to have found such an outstanding school teaching traditional Karate and character building that will equip them for life! My son was starting to get bullied at school so I started to look for a Karate place to teach self-defence and increase his self-esteem. I'm so grateful I came across Keiko Martial Arts, from my first email Sensai DK was so awesome, he explained everything, gave me prices upfront, booked a meeting with the kids and gave us time to think about it, no one bothered us with emails or phone calls which we appreciated so much, Senpai Jamie was so awesome with the kids from our first meeting and the kids loved her and begged us to sign them up which was awesome. I love the fact that we can make up classes anytime depending on our schedule and each class is so much fun. The best part is even after just 3 classes, my son behaviour starting changing, he was able to defend himself at school in a respectful manner and he's not scared anymore, even the person that was bullying him doesn't bother him as much now knowing he will respond back. The staff is also so amazing, always answering my questions and guiding us to the next step, overall I'm so grateful for this place

Love this dojo and the staff are absolutely amazing. Our 3 Kids have been attending for over 5 years. Of all activities this is the one they don't want to quit. The staff and program build strong character and values that will assist them throughout their lives. They are now an extended family for us.

My son has been attending Kieko dojo for about a year and a half now. What an experience it has been for my family! Keiko dojo is not just a place you take your child to learn karate, it''s a home away from home.Sensei Chris and his awesome Senpais are a family that takes very good care of all families. Their program tailor's to individual needs regardless of age or belt level. I personally have seen the result of their work through the improvement in my son's health and strength. AWESOME JOB KIEKO FAMILY!!!

Sensei Chris and his team are fantastic and I can't possibly heap enough praise on them or their program. While I was only able to keep my two children in the program for about 8 months before I moved away, it without a doubt the best thing we've ever done. Both of my children thrived in the program and looked forward to going every time. The program offers so much more than you could possibly imagine at first glance. We were initially looking for a way for my son to have some fun, get a little exercise and learn some self defense along the way but came away with so much more. Both my son and daughter wound up signing up and almost immediately we saw a change in their attitudes and behaviour. Sensei Chris and his whole team taught my kids far more than we anticipated and they very quickly became more confident and showed a more positive attitude and approach in everything they did. The change was apparent in their home and school life and what they learned at Keiko quickly became part of their everyday attitudes.They offered so much more than just a program as they really do make everyone feel like part of a family and we miss them very much. Our family is very thankful to have found such a wonderful Martial Arts Dojo that strongly teaches the fundamentals of traditional Karate.Since our son Jahvaughn has been with Keiko Ryu Do Martial Arts for almost 1 year now and he has had a tremendous turn around. The positive impact this class has had on him is nothing short of amazing. We were told that we would see improvement in a few short months and from home to school our son has proved them right!This Dojo teaches students about Focus, Motivation, Respect, Spirit training, Positive Life Skills, Confidence, Self-Discipline and most of all they have FUN!!They have helped our son understand that hard work pays off in the end and the results are gratifying. It’s nice when parents can go to an establishment and be recognized for the work you do with your children!Sensei Chris is a very respectful, insightful motivating Instructor. Along with the other team of Instructors they allow the students to feel welcome and always wanting more. The way they teach their students to never give up! And this doesn’t stop in the class it follows them home, to school, to work and into the outside world.This Dojo has a mix of students young and old, every race, color and creed and people with disabilities. The best martial Arts program! Every single Sensei and Senpai care about ever single person that walks through their door. My 4 year old and nephew look forward to going to class every week! I had to change my classes from once a week to twice because my daughter loves going so much. They teach the kids/adults about the importance of safety, listening, respecting yourself and others and so much more! They also provide the kids rewards for every accomplishment which keeps them motivated and excited. In addition to the classes they send out weekly informative flyers. I can write an essay on how amazing this place is but i would say if your looking for a Karate Martial Arts spot this is the one to go too!

an excellent dojo, with great human warmth, I have no words to say how grateful I am for the loving treatment they gave to my daughter Samaria is her name, and to say that the Sensei and the kenpachis are people, not only professionals, but not that they are very loved by my family, thank you very much thank you for your great support we will miss you very much
