Contacted Midwest Chimney Service and talked to Mike about getting an estimate on a chimney cap repair. Mike was out the next business day to measure the cap and 2 days later it was installed. Very professional and very courteous. I would HIGHLY recommend!!! Thanks for such prompt service!

Pleasant people but ripped us off! Told us on the phone we could put our own chimney cap on for like $30 rather than the $100 they charge, so we said we'll do that instead just sweep the fireplace chimney. They showed up and start climbing on the roof before even knocking on the door. Then at the end give us a bill for $100 more than expected. Oh your wife said just put on the cap or else I wouldn't have done it." My wife and I had just talked that morning about having to do it ourselves! Make sure you ask what they are doing before they start working."

We had Mike out to clean our chimney and replace our flashing. He did a great job. We had been struggling with our chimney leaking for several years. We have had multiple companies come out to repair it but it would always leak again after a big rain. We are confident that Midwest Chimney actually repaired it right this time. Mike is extremely knowledgable and explained to us what the other companies did wrong and he fixed it. Midwest Chimney will be the only company we will call from now on to keep our chimney in tip top shape! Thank you Midwest Chimney!!!

I was having an issue with smoke not properly venting up the chimney, and instead partially flowing into my home. I called a few companies to ask questions and get some advice and none could even be bothered to talk to me. I called Midwest Chimney Service, and Mike answered. Not only did he spend 10 minutes on the phone with me troubleshooting, he offered to come to my home to evaluate my fireplace WITHIN THE HOUR. He was friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable.If I ever have problems with my fireplace, there is no one else I will call. Midwest earned a customer for life and I would highly recommend this company to anyone!

We noticed when it rains we smell ash inside our house even when we aren’t using the fireplace. We called and Mike came out and diagnosed our problem areas and fixed them. He took his time and great care to educate me as a homeowner about the condition of my chimney and how water was getting in and from where. He tuckpointed the bricks of the chimney, filling in the gaps and created a weather resistant chimney again which stopped the water and eliminated the ash smell. Having a fire smells good, wet ash doesn’t! I’m very satisfied and highly recommended Mike from Midwest Chimney Service!!

I emailed this company to set up a cleaning for my regular fireplace and chimney. I wanted to get a price on what it would cost to get it cleaned.I received an email two days later asking what type of fireplace I had, and where I lived. I answered immediately, and still four days later, have not heard back from them.Customer service is definitely lacking.
