Mill Pond Neighbourhood Park
A staple of my childhood. It was one of the main parks I went to when I first moved here back in 2009. I'm happy to see it's still in use by the next generation of children.

Lovely hike surrounded by hundreds of birds nestled in the gorgeous autumn colours! We’ve driven by this path many times but today we parked the car to discover a little more about this area, this was the start of a beautiful hike. It’s wonderful that this trail is a loop, (for the most part) you can pretty much keep walking until you come right back to your car…lolThe trail was quiet today except for the occasional person walking with their dog. This is the perfect time of year to hike this trail as there were no bugs, although, there were a lot of bees busy going from flower to flower while they can. There are a number of entry points to this loop, some will require you to park on the street were permitted or in the near by school parking lot (when not in session). The trail is wide and very well kept. Parts of the trail is on gravel while others are paved. The trail meanders through the neighbourhood - so you will sometimes be walking on sidewalks through the houses and then back on the trail.Using a map or an app such as All Trails will facilitate staying on the trail. It would also show you secondary trails that cross the main which you can explore. This is one of many protected marsh lands in Hespeler - a precious gift that should be enjoyed by all.
