I've used Givopoly Ottawa countless times before and I've never had any issues, I'm a regular customer and I've loved using this service. However, this past Mother's Day was extremely disappointing and unacceptable.I spent over 100$ on a gift for my mom to be delivered by this service on Sunday, May 12 2019. The website says deliveries will be made between 10am-6pm. At 5pm, I called them to say my mom hadn't received anything yet to which they said not to worry, that they were running behind but that she would get it no later than 7pm. 8:45pm rolled around and she still hadn't received anything. I tried to call, got no answer and wrote them an e-mail.The next morning, I got an e-mail back that was one line with no punctuation: hello we are refunding 50% of the order right now and sending the product out right now". It is not acceptable that the delivery wasn't made on the day I paid for and I still haven't received a refund. My mom finally got her gift delivered on Monday

I wish I could give them 0 stars. I spend a whopping $71 for a get well soon chocolate covered fruits only for my sister to receive a cheap box of squished fruits thrown in a plastic bag on her porch. This place just embarrassed the hell out of me. Please don't order from here. Save your money. And I have attempted to contact them for a refund but no response. I am going to make sure I get a refund for this disaster.

Not worth the cost. I ordered balloons and flowers. The balloons arrived deflated and the flowers were sparse compared to what I paid for it. Additionally the delivery arrived at 7 pm The recipicient almost had to miss dinner plans. I had read negative reviews and decided to try anyway. It was not worth it. Disappointed

I too wish I could give 0 stars. I have used this service without issue in the past, but ordered a basket for my office to send to a client as a thank you for the holidays. The package was to have been delivered December 13. There was some unknown issue with delivery and no one contacted me to rectify it. On December 15 I finally reached someone and was told the package would be delivered that day. No further information was provided. Today is Dec. 22 and still no package has been delivered, my voicemails and emails to Givopoly from the last 4 days have all gone unanswered. I will no longer use this service again, most definitely not for work. This has been the most unprofessional service I’ve received from any company providing these services. Do not use Givopoly.

very satisfied with my purchase. Regardless of the bad reviews I took my chances in ordering an urban foodie box as a gift for my mom. She absolutely loved it! Worth every penny! Thank you to the team.

Prices are inflated and they have a high service fee. If they actually provided a good and professional service, the price would be worth it but it is absolutely not.They delivered a day late, they provided no updates and were slow to respond. When they did respond, they were unprofessional and ignored my questions until I kept reminded them and calling them.They are not trustworthy. I called on the evening of the day the gift was supposed to be delivered, and the Givopoly employee had confirmed that my gift (Food) was indeed picked up. However, it was never delivered. The next day I once again call and email for updates, where I'm told they apparently will be picking up a new order (although I was told it was picked up the day before?), without any proof whatsoever. I do not believe they actually got a new, fresh order. Based on their unprofessionalism and inconsistencies, I'm convinced they just delivered the old order from the day before.I understand the holidays are a busy time for a service like this, but if they can't keep up with demand and if they're going to have delays they absolutely need to inform customers before orders are placed. Really disappointed, will not be using them again.

Updated Review:Update 01/11 - I am updating this review due to the excellent customer service the company provided to re deliver the goods (flash frozen chicken and steaks) in their correct state. The initial delivery was no longer frozen and so there were some concerns with consumption. Notwithstanding the busy holiday season, the company was responsive to our concerns and took steps to remedy as soon as practicable. My parents were very pleased with the quality, so overall I would feel comfortable recommending this service. I appreciate the efforts made to deliver the correct product.

EDIT to respond to owner: The delivery was made under my husband's name, who left multiple voicemails and called multiple times on Valentine's day.Not delivered when it was meant to. Driver was saying he couldnt get ahold of the owner till around 8pm which honestly sounded super unprofessional and…weird lol? he was saying how she’s gone MIA on valentines. We were calling the store nonstop with no answer at all too, we honestly thought we got scammed. When the box was finally delivered, it was a major let down. Completely flavorless strawberries and chocolates. The chocolates filled with the cocoa powder were broken and spilling over lol so we couldnt even enjoy them, there was not enough co and powder left inside. Threw the whole box away, complete waste of money. There are so many gifting companies out there, your money is better spent elsewhere (where they actually know how to run a legit business). 100% would call and request a refund but they wont answer lol.
