Dallas-Barnhartvale Nature Park
Gorgeous walks along the Dallas ridge to see gorgeous views of the south Thompson river and valley. The moose Has been living here this spring and you can usually see her if you keep your eyes out near the ponds.

A beautiful trail network on both flats and hills, with big wide views along ridges. Keep young children and dogs close on the ridge trails as it is a very big drop.Trails in places, particularly the wider ones, are rutted from use when wet (please avoid when wet to help prevent.)Great for hiking, biking and you'll see horses too.

This park is a great place to walk for you and furry little ones there is poop bags available at the gate just beware very slippery in winter and in the summer bears because it's located by the barharvale dump and no it doesn't smell like garbage it's far enough away. A lot of hill climbs but nothing too crazy. We take this hike every week my son and husband and I and our 2 dogs on leashes it's great for a family day just drive slow it's located by residents with small children playing nearby just to warn everyone.

We call this the landfill park, because its right next to one, but you would never know. I has many paths which are partially treed. Nice view of the valley once you get there.

Dallas-Barnhartvale Nature Park
Beautiful area for walking with trails long enough to follow for an hour or perhaps two. Lots of wildlife including deer, chipmunks, waterfowl (by the pond), birds, and insects. The main trail follows down from a grassy pine wood, past some ranch land, down to a plateau, covered in sagebrush, overlooking the valley which offers a nice view of the sunset. The main trail is fairly wide with moderate grade — easy walking. There's an outhouse at the trailhead / parking lot.
