Apikol - Distillery & Meadery
This is a destination in QC. The mead (and other spirits) are made by someone who understands the science, and has produced some of the purest vodka, gin, and eau de vie I have ever tasted. The mead is dry and crisp, not at all cloyingly sweet. We bought multiple gifts for friends and family for the holidays. This is a place on the rise, and well worth the visit for any bon vivant.

Amazing find!! We loved that we felt so well taken care of at their one-of-a-kind distillery made from local honey bees! Their commitment to green and ecotourism was very much appreciated! We took part in an intimate tour and tasting and it was a tale to tell and remember. Their spirits were beyond smooth and way better than name brands on the market! Highly recommend to any local or traveller wanting to experience something new and different :)

Very cool experience! The owners are so knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend doing the tasting so that you get to try their house-made spirits! While you're there, also do the guided tour where they explain about the entire process: from seeing the bees that make their honey, to the distillation process, to bottling and their ecological initiatives.

Fantastic place run by knowledgeable, friendly people who really know what they're doing. They work to a very high standard! The liquor is extremely high quality. No heads, no nail polish remover taste. Tails only where appropriate (in the 'rum') for flavor. The rest is all hearts. The gin is perfectly flavored, everything is local, and everything they serve is made exactly as it should be. Bravo.

Amazing tour and products. Fred was so funny and knowledgeable and I love the option to do micro cocktails for the tasting. Highly recommend!!

Great experience touring the place and tasting. Lovely owner and his family made sure we had a nice time. Very interesting too, and I’m not a fan of liquor or bees or honey :) still enjoyed it and would come back

As a whisky connoisseur I was disappointed there are no whisky distilleries in the city. This Mead & honey spirit distillery is fantastic as a substitute. The vodka has a slight sweetness to it and is very different from your typical vodka. The raspberry flavoured vodka uses real berries to flavour it. The gin is very floral and light. The caramelized honey eau de vie is fantastic, very unique and barrel aged 4 months. We also got to try their honey and Mead and bought both! Definitely check them out!
