Hôpital Vétérinaire de L’Est

We were urgently looking for a clinic that is open on Sunday because our cat Melvin got sick at night. In the morning we called Hôpital Vétérinaire de L’Est and made an appointment in an hour. The doctor examined him, prescribed an analysis and an ultrasound scan, took our cat and returned him very quickly, literally in five minutes. It was an infection. The doctor prescribed antibiotics and painkillers for a week. Now Melvin is fine, thanks for the professional help!

Visited this Vet Hospital when my regular vet advised me by phone to take my beloved pet to a hospital ASAP because she would be unable to make an in-depth assessment of our little pet cat at her clinic as she appeared to be very sick.Called the hospital for a quick appointment the next day. They were on time and Dr. Assia Touchrift quickly and professionally assessed the situation, even getting a second opinion from another doctor. Unfortunately the diagnosis was abysmal and there was only one very sad conclusion. She treated us with the utmost compassion and care, giving us time to absorb the information. She provided palliative medication so we could take our sweet cat home to say good-bye to the family. We brought her back the same evening in order not to make our little Luna suffer any more. The evening staff was equally kind and respectful giving us the time we needed to process the sad situation. Thank you to the caring staff for helping us through this difficult and heart-breaking circumstance of life.

Great service everytime at the front desk from Nicole and Camille! Honestly if it wasn't for them and how much it shows they care for the customers I would've switched vets.. not everyone is polite at the front desk but those two honestly deserve a raise for how much time and effort and overall care they put. I personally like Dr. Lalonde. She's a wonderful kind soul that has helped my babies through very rare treatments and has overall always been 110% there for every question. Always stays positive with you and tries to make you smile even in a rough situation. Dr. Lalonde does really good and makes my babies comfortable every single time and it's rare I'll speak up like this for a Vet. It shows she cares for your babies and not only a paycheck at the end of the week. That's what I love!

Wonderful vet clinic, passionate about your pets well-being as they consistently go above and beyond. From treating basic to critical care and taking in rescue animals to re-home, they do it all! Always helpful and professional. However, although administrative staff are usually bilingual, the technicians we've met lacked such ability.Plenty of street parking and clinic's hours of operation are extremely flexible, making it accomodating to their client's schedules. I highly recommend.

Very busy. New Dr there was amazing and very caring. Difficult to find a dr who speaks English. Can't remember his name, sorry. When i think of it I'll share it.

We had been looking for a vet for vaccination of our newly acquired puppy, and found one that appeared to be reasonably good. So, we booked an appointment. A few disadvantages, namely: limited free but difficult parking right off a busy street, steps to climb down to get inside the place, unable to get an exact price for vaccination and becoming a client, very limited space inside to keep social distancing, troublesome animal smell and a somewhat rough receptionist welcome.These were negatives that weigh far too heavy for peace of mind, that we continued our search and landed on this Hôpital Vétérinaire de l’Est. Needless to say that we cancelled our previously booked appointment. None of the negatives I mentioned above existed. Large, clean location with at least a dozen vets. Reception was not necessarily welcoming but professional. A detailed breakdown of opening a file, with cost of each vaccination needed.Although we arrived on time, we had to wait for about half an hour, with no one caring enough to advise on further wait time.We were attended by an assistant Vet who did preliminary exams, providing all relevant information and patiently answering all the questions we had.The Vet subsequently joined us to give the various vaccinations, including inserting microchip, and providing further advice for caring for a puppy.Large selection of products for sale, on the shelves, but none that we were interested in at the time.Apart from the wait time, we had otherwise reasonably good service, and will further evaluate, if ratings change, on our next visit.

Love the staff there. Everyone is so nice love how they call you before every appointment and accommodate to your needs … only down fall is that every visit is EXPENSIVE I find the consulting charge way to high when all you need is a shot… why charge a high consulting fee when I already know what I want? 4 stars due to that

Services are good, pricier than other vets. Also, when I call and speak in English, they hang up on me. Happened more than once. Not impressed.
