I have been buying Brant lake beef frequently since 2020 - beef is great. Went today at 11am and they had no fresh product out for sale. I was told wont be ready for 3-4hrs. There was only a couple on tomahawk steaks. I mean empty shelves like they were closed.How can a business that opens at 10am have nothing ready for sale at 11am?While service has always been cool today it was very cold and I got the impression that they are not interested in retail sales.I was looking for 6-8 ribeyes and 6-8 tenderloins for a dinner party.Had to go elsewhere - not sure what is happening, with the level of service dropping off over the last year.Love to support local and drive in from outside the city to shop there but need to have confidence in the supply as well as feeling appreciated as a client.May not be back

Best wagyu beef in Calgary. The Keg is absolute garbage compared to a cheap steak from brant lake. Highly recommend and I send all my family and friends here!

It's pretty disappointing that some people reviewing this are children. I will grant you that the service here is different from earls downtown. However to suggest that someone has been rude to you is either plainly false or you're projecting your impossible expectations. This is the best beef you can buy in Calgary FULL STOP. If you want to be treated like the child you are, please head to the Olive Garden and enjoy your breadsticks.

Why is there any negative reviews? I walked in for the first time ever today, had someone help pick out a wicked Denver, a good chat about good beef and told when the best times to come in for the non primal cuts I love.Get your heads out of your ***. Don't just expect to be served and catered to. It's a butcher shop, they know meat and are proud of their product and it's damn good beef!The Denver was awesome, I can't wait to get my hands on the Delmonico!

Very Disappointed. I spent $137 for Wagyu" for my wife's birthday. I worked as a chef for many years and I can say this is not true Wagyu. Clearly was a cross bread

I've spent quite a bit of money at Brant lake over the last year, most of the time it's a great experience but whoever was working customer service today (Nov 19 2022), was a bit rude.Asking questions and doesn't answer and simply seemed to want us to get out of the shop as fast as possible.Will give it another chance, as people have bad days, but perhaps work on customer service skills a bit.

Terrible service, disrespectful and rude. Asked for a small tenderloin, and they did not have any available. I asked to see if he could cut me something, and his response was We have tenderloin but we close in forty minutes and I don't feel like cutting you anything". I was the only person in the store (only car in the parking lot) I had to engage as the two men working didn't even say hello to me when I entered."

I disregarded the negative reviews before going. Thought to myself that some people are a lot to deal with; you can’t please everyone. But it was all true.I walked in ready and excited to buy some Wagyu. The owner, however, was cold from the beginning. Did not even say hello. He was visibly annoyed whenever we asked questions. All of his responses were very short and condescending. For instance, I asked for his recommendation on which cut of meat I should buy. He responded that I should’ve known what I wanted so as to not waste his time before pointing to the ribeye - unnecessary comment and extremely unprofessional.At first, I thought it was ok since everyone has an off day.But the owner’s attitude changed dramatically as soon as another customer with a luxury sports car pulled up. The owner said hello enthusiastically as soon as the the driver walked in and was more than happy to answer any of his questions. After I paid, the owner didn’t even say thank you and immediately went back to the other customer.That’s one way to treat people I guess.

Customer service was lacking. My girlfriend and I said, “thank you” many times after our purchase. The guy working couldn’t be bothered to say, “your welcome” or show any sign of etiquette. It’s the small things that matter. Won’t be returning as we did not feel welcomed. Go forward, we will be buying our wagyu from other establishments that are excited about the product they are selling
