Canadian Tire

They would not do a return for a defective pool hammock that I purchased specifically for a vacation though it was within the 90 days on their policy (purchased Nov 24, returned Jan 6). First they claimed it was purchased at another Canadian Tire and as such they do not refund purchases from other stores. When I stated that their policy does not indicate that, then they claimed that it was opened so therefore was no longer eligible for a return. I explained that the only reason I was returning it was that it was defective, the valve was sealed shut and so would not inflate, so only took up space in my staircase and disappointed my kids, and therefore was of no use on my vacation, but that I kept the one that worked (I had bought 2, one for each child). When I explained that you could only know it was defective by opening it and attempting to blow it up, they held their position that my opening it voided my right to get a refund. When I started that I felt that this was disrespectful to the rights of their clients and that my actions were so that they could communicate with their supplier to address the quality control, and they themselves get a credit and we’re entirely reasonable and within their policy and the spirit of consumer laws, the manager compared my return to a person who buys folding chairs and tables for a party and then returns them after the party once they no longer need them because I refused an exchange since I am entitled to a refund or store credit and no longer need the hammock as it was purchased only for my vacation.They think that returning defective unusable merchandise is the same as effectively stealing (purchasing goods, using them then returning them). Incredibly insulting. Someone who heard the story said that I should just put it back in the box and return it, but I refuse as I feel you should be able to be respected as a client and get justice while being honest. Their assistant store director, Eric, did not even come to talk to me or hear my request.Shameful treatment of their clients. I will never purchase from Canadian Tire again and will share my story within my network.

I want to give 0 star because my experience with canadian tyre was worse they ruin my car they did my 4 wheel alignment which cause my tyres are loosing thread after 2000 km i went there they said there is no guaranty and they change my tire which again loose its thread and now they said your car has another issue but before allignment my tyres didn’t loose its thread i call customer care they said we regester your complaint but its two week i didn’t receive any update yet i call again they said wait we are looking garbage service never go there

Usually a good shopping experience. Customer service is effective at the cash and return desks, yet I find it harder to get an employee on the floor. Some items are placed so high up on the shelves that you definitely will spend more time waiting around for someone to come help you. Something to think about.

Excellent service from the store manager today (Mr.Peter). He went the extra mile for an item exchange. This is what is missing in today's department stores.His professionalism deserves nothing less than a 5 star rating!

Would give 0 stars if I could. I had gotten my car inspected by them as I got my tires changed for the winter. Had me pay about 800$CAD for a few fixes which I had no problem with. Brought my car back only 3 months later after check engine light came on and broke down in the middle of the highway. After inspection, turns out the repairs they had done the first time were all wrong (using the wrong pieces), which caused the alternator to overheat, as well as killed new battery. At least the battery was covered, but they explained to me that I would still need to pay the full amount for this new job, which all happened because of the faulty job they did in the first place. So I still had to pay another approx 700$ for this repair. As I drove away from the garage, I noticed that the check engine light was still on and the temperature sensor was not working. When I asked if they would check my car again just to make sure they did everything right this time and that my car was safe to drive, they said I'd have to pay for another separate evaluation AGAIN. I explained to them that it only seemed fair for them to cover this inspection considering all their mistakes and that the temperature issue only appeared after they touched it - which they denied. I ended up finding another garage to do business thereonafter. All in all, their work on the car only lead to a costly stream of mistakes and made my car less safe to drive. Not to mention way over priced. Poor craftsmanship, and horrible customer service. Would never recommend.

Worst customer service ever. I just walked away from there, i bought 3/19/2023 pot sets for 149.96. Today its on sale for 99.96. As per policy we can return the item for 90 days. I asked them to refund the bakace of 50$. I was told we cant do it because the policy is 7 days. ( nowehere is mentioned that)Than after me talking and getting angry because i asked to speak to a manager. SIMON THE MANAGER CAME AND SAID NO mme we cant do it. Without even knowing the actual issue. He was very rude. Furthurmore i asked him nicely to show me on their website on on the bill wehere its written the 7 days policy. Nowhere its written. He tooked at me and said go do your homework anywhere else. I am telling you its 7 days. 0 customer service. Than i asked to speak to his manager PIERRE he didnt even bother himslef to come to talk. Do not buy anything there. I had my bill i had everything needed . Nothing was done. I will file a complaint furthur than this.
