Brown Donkatsu
Good food and excellent service. Food was late in coming out so the server gave us complimentary soft drinks and an appetizer. Donkatsu was crispy and sauce was mildly spicy (we ordered level 1 spicy). Portion was great as well. Takoyaki was delicious. Good experience overall.

Always hits the spot. Much better than katsu places in the city. I love how you can customize all sauces on the menu to a spice level. They often give us cans of pop on the house. The service is always top notch. I want to try their jjampong next time!

Small place but great food and good shareable portion plates. Visited their Richmond Hill location too (more spacious in terms of seating) ... They've been consistent in flavour!Tried the brown katsu level 3 spice and cheese bomb katsu, Pork Donburi, gyōza & their Everything katsu ... Loved all of these! Price can be steep, but each dish (except appetizers) is enough for Two.

Some of the best customer service we've had. We ordered too many appetizers and the owner came and said you guys ordered too much food! And told us to order less because the entrees itself was massive. Food was delicious and very tasty. Small restaurant seating for maybe 18 people but very great

We tried a bunch of dishes. Started with the pork chashu and octopus takoyaki. Both were to die for. Then arrived the katsuyas. My favourite one was the shrimp set with pork. Their brown sauce is amazing. They also have an amazing hot sauce which they give if requested for. The owner was very nice and welcoming. The portions are HUGE so keep that in mind when ordering.

I love Brown Donkatsu, they have confidence to open their new branch beside Katsuya.Anyway, the breaded katsu are definitely crispier than their neighbouring counterparts, but the carbonara sauce wasn't the greatest. I ordered a level 3, but was given a level 0. I got a small bowl with the sauce and when I tasted it, it was just the chemical hot sauce that I didn't really like. So I'm glad they made a mistake and I didn't have to go through the turmoil.Anyway, it was good.

the portions are huge and the service was insanely quick! we ordered a lot cause we were starving after a busy day and we were so full by the end of it.in terms of apps, i would recommend the takoyaki and the chashu pork. they were both so good i didnt want to finish them. for mains, the cheese bomb is a must try. the joy of cutting into it and seeing the cheese ooze out was child-like and the brown sauce is to die for. the italian pizza katsu unfortunately was not for me, i did not like the clash of the peppers and pizza sauce with the brown sauce so i wouldn’t get it again.i would also like to mention that the servers were accommodating and attentive :)also note that this location doesn’t have much seating so if ur coming in a group, call ahead

Came with a friend after work and ordered the katsu. It was really big portion size and so pretty worth it for what it was- I couldn’t finish it because of how full I got. The katsu was fried really well but the sauce wasn’t what we were expecting. The spicy spicy tasted sweet and even though we asked for extra spicy, it wasn’t spicy at all. Kind of got sick of that sauce too because it was super sweet. Would come back but would order different sauce next time

Ordered fried shrimp and chicken brown katsu (level 1 spice level). The fried shrimp was really good and the tartar sauce was so delicious, would definitely recommend. The chicken brown katsu tasted good as well, wasn’t greasy and I really enjoyed the sauce. Level 1 heat is perfect for those who enjoy sweet with a little bit of spice. Overall, the portions were big and service was great.
