Wonderful place to eat an authentic food prepared with love and care and just the right amount of spices by Suneeta , who went out of the way to serve us both a gastronomic delight ! Would definitely visit her place again ! Pk

Wow! Such incredible food, the sweetest person ever who runs this restaurant and very generous portions. Three of us went there and we all loved all of the food. It’s now a must-stop when we are in the area.Wish the hours were longer but we will go out of our way to make it here again!

The best restaurant in Lunenburg - amazing flavors, huge portions, made with love, and service with a smile!!Lamprai & Spice is consistently the best lunch in town, and the place we (as locals) frequent the most often.Be sure to arrive early, as they often sell out. If you're lucky, you might even be able to snag an eclair. Bring your own containers and they will happily fill them!!

Suni is a very sweet lady who makes extremely tasty food. I am especially in love with her carrot cake as well as her eclairs! Excellent quality and served by a lovely human being.

I visited Lamprai and Spice Café for the second time this month with my family, and it is definitely worth the trek from Halifax to savour Suni's authentic, flavorful offerings. As a lover of spicy, exotic foods, I can say that I was absolutely delighted by the meals she lovingly prepared for my family, and we experienced the full spectrum of her kitchen prowess. We feasted on the three available combos both times: tamarind beef, coconut shrimp and butter chicken. I like my food extra spicy, so she offered me a chili shrimp sambol condiment to accompany my already sublime butter chicken - amazing! The side dishes with their complex spices and ingredients danced on my tongue and made my mouth very happy! To go with our food, we ordered the Sri Lankan iced coffee, which was delicately sweet and creamy and very satisfying - I am in love ❤.She also showed me her industrial spice grinding machine, where she prepares her two delicious blends: roasted spices for meats and poultry and another curry mix for veggies. I purchased and used both at home, and they are perfect for those nights when you are craving flavour but do not have a lot of time to cook everything from scratch.Try this Lunenburg treasure - you will love it!

I came across The Lampari on a recent visit to Lunenburg. It is a take away but beautifully kept with elegant furnishing and pictures more in tune with fine dining then take away. The first thing I encounter was aroma of spices as I entered. The classic furniture and pictures have a Victorian look, featuring Sri Lanka – Ceylon. I was warmly greeted by Suni the cheerful owner - master chef . The day I was there she was serving a chicken dish and pork dish. I chose the pork dish which was a combination of nine spices which Suni had managed to combine in such a manner that no one spice over powered the others. I asked Suni where she had learned her trade and she said it was from the time she spent as an aid worker in small villages in Sri Lanka. While I was taking to regulars came in to pick up their orders and one gave a glowing recommendation for her food. There are some public picnic tables around the corner, a great place for a space for a small picnic.

If you're in Lunenburg, make this a must stop. Be sure to go sooner rather than later as they sell out food fast. It's phenomenal, we had the fried chicken with curry carrots and rice. With a slice of cake that could have fed four, yet the two of us devoured it because it was absolutely delicious.

So impressed with our lunch today! By far the best meal we have had in Lunenburg to date. We had the Butter Chicken and the Meatball Kofta as well as a beautiful pastry. The service was great, the portions were generous, fresh, delicious, and this food was prepared with love! We will definitely be back.

We visited from Montreal last summer and meant to eat at Lamprai & Spice after having read the glowing reviews but the timing was never right. We had the chance to return to Lunenburg in December and I made it a point to stop by (twice before her well-deserved holiday)- the reviews are right, this is surely the gem of Lunenburg! The food is prepared and served with care and love. Sunni is as much a part of the overall delightful experience as is her delectable dishes. Looking forward to our return visits.

Delicious food and the best service, what more could you ask for? Walked in and was served with a smile and an introduction from the the sweetest lady, Suni (she made our whole day with her warm and beautiful personality). My husband and I shared curry chicken on rice and a pork and noodle dish (one would be enough for the both of us as the portions are massive). Both excellent and the perfect amount of spice. Will definitely be returning and recommending to everyone!
