Jacob was super helpful and knowledgeable on all the products. I just started snowboarding and he helped me pick out the perfect boots and bindings that fit my board, best customer service experience!

The staff is great and super knowledgeable. I went in with a lot of questions about a new board and Carter was not only helpful, but also very professional. Not common these days. Also, Jay gave us some great tips for my daughter's set up and her riding benefitted from that.

While out skiing the top half of the metal edge from my daughters ski popped out of the ski. So, ski day is done, and maybe our plan for further skiing during her reading week. We drive straight to Gates and Boards. And, expectations were exceeded.The skis were nearing the end of their warranty period, but it was clearly a defect (not by damage or abuse) and they pressed for them to be warranty covered. But, here is the amazing part of the service - they fixed the ski so that it is usable until the replacement ski arrives, and we had the ski back in 2 days, missing only 1 day of skiing, not the whole week. All done with a smile!Thanks. There is a reason I drive to your store (I don't live in Barrie) and I will continue to do so for all of my skiing needs.

I’ve ordered on line a few times now and the service is fabulous. They offer the products I’m looking for at great prices. They ship by Canada Post which means my parcels are secure and not just left on my doorstep. I wish I lived closer!

Wow ! What incredible service !My husband went in a few days ago to look for a new suit for me and he said the service was incredible. We returned a couple days later to return as the items didn’t fit and also look at new snowboarding boots for both of us.The level of service we received from Jason was outstanding! He spent over 2 hours with us ensuring the boot was a perfect fit. I have been on a hill skiing or boarding for 27 years and I’ve never experienced this level of service when purchasing gear !We will forever be return customers and will be purchasing all of our and our kids gear here from now on !

Amazing staff and excellent customer service. Great deals too. I was impressed that they answered my email enquiry right away about their stock of ski boots in my size. They even provided links to boots that would fit me. When I arrived, the team looked after me right away and I bought the perfect ski boots for me. My husband tagged along and got a great deal on twin tipped skis and bindings. We will only shop here for our skiing equipment in the future.

Awesome local shop! I have been dealing with them for almost 20 years, and the service and knowledge is always top notch. I'm a few years removed from the industry now, and there aren't many places I will trust with my gear, but I never hesitate here. Arn's got a good thing going, and this shop has one of those feel good local vibes for sure.Jay in particular has been stellar the past few days, helping me dial in my boot fit and tweaking the tune on my new Sakanas as well. Bought a board with them online, and was shipped quickly, packed well, and they even offered me a free wax added to my board upon shipping. Super nice of them. Would highly recommend buying from Gates & Boards, and I will be happy to give them an actual visit if I ever happen to be in Barrie.
