Extremely authentic southern Chinese breads and northern baos.Egg tarts and all the bakery buns were amazing. Huge variety.Highly recommend.

Friendly staff, fast service. I normally order there dumplings or Bao but today I try the wonton soup and it was so bad I couldn’t finish it. It took over 10 min and the broth had no taste. Lesson learn, only buy dumplings from a dumplings store. Don’t try the other food.

I've been there for their sweet bao a bunch, and they're always a delight. The character and animal buns do actually look like the pictures too. If you get a bunch though, be aware that they do go pretty hard the next day.Later in the day they run out of some of the buns, but that's to be expected for a bakery, and there's still lots of options!Definitely be aware that there's virtually no seating, and there's steps in the front.

Bao Bao Dim Sum is located in Montréal Chinatown, along the popular pedestrian street (Rue De La Gauchetière). One of the specialties is the fun character steam bun variety. Each is enough for a breakfast meal, and is about $3.Despite having just ate a meal, my kid was eager to eat the Bear bun with brown sugar & red bean paste! After reheating, we enjoyed the Chiclet bun with mango coconut filling, Angry Bird bun with strawberry melted chocolate, and Porcupine bun with taro paste. These fluffy buns & unique fillings are fun. We also tried their salted egg custard buns.Note their entrance is shared with Patisserie Harmonie, but Bao is on the right. We made the mistake of turning left & was initially disappointed about not being able to find the steam buns. A tax discount was applied for a pack of 6 buns.

Affordable and good food!! Love baked bread especially the one with hot dog. I also ordered their kimchi chicken bun which was good but could be better in terms of flavours.Hardly any place to sit.

My favorite go-to place for freshly made buns. The doe is perfect, and they have cute buns for kids. I like the veggie bun most. There's also some seatings inside for eat-in.

Awesome Bao, not the sandwich style, like large dim sum. We tried the braised pork, chicken teriyaki, and BBQ beef, all.were excellent, and all $3.

We ordered four things only one of them was enjoyable and good for us. The rice wrapped in banana leaves. As for the rest, the dumpling noodle soup... Oh my... What a sad excuse for a broth, barely a vessel for anything it was bland like air. The dumplings, not our flavor, we just disliked them, but the worst part is there was a dead fly with it... It's -2 outside, this fly came with the soup. That's a red flag if I've seen one. I don't want to say avoid but, that was our experience, we won't be going back.

The spot for the cutest and picture worthy buns in the montreal area. They are a full quick service dim sum resto with a few seats available to sit and eat, but their primary business is the cute buns availableSo many different characters all signifying a different flavour. Not sure if it’s meant to be, but I had a blueberry doraemon one and it’s almost as if the bao itself had fused the blueberry flavour into it! This made every bite so fragrant! Can get busy quickly, so if you spot the chance, take the opportunity to check them out!Follow me on IG @thirst_and_taste for better pics, vids and more amazing content!

I really liked this little shop. We went later in the day, so some items were sold out already. The ones that we did get were just as delicious as I thought they would be.My favorites were the cat with the custard, and the BBQ pork. The staff was very polite and helpful. Our order was finished promptly and we sat in to eat our baos. I would love to stop here again and try some of their other menu items.
