Mount Pleasant Return-It Express Depot

Andrew, one of the owners, is exceptionally friendly, and has passed that on to his staff.Darwin is an asset ... like Andrew, he's a very hard-working guy who's always smiling. There are two other young guys whose names I don't know - a tall guy with dark hair and a shorter Latino ... they each have a great work ethic.In addition, there is usually great music (most often jazz) whenever I go there. The place could really use lots of renos, but they are relocating soon. (Regardless, even if they stayed put, with the building in the same condition, I'd continue to go there, as they're just so damned nice there.)

I have used the express drop and go service many times. Every single time there has been about 20 to 30 cans short. But my last visit yesterday, May 26th was especially bad. Before leaving the house we had counted over 400 cans and bottles. The final count we got back today was just shy 260. That is a far cry 400 cans. With all due respect, either the person working there cannot count or is committing scam by keeping the cans and cashing them out themselves. If this is the case, people are not going to trust in this recycling program. I would like an explanation to why there is such a massive difference between what I counted and when the employees at the location have counted. I don't recommend anyone return their bottles and cans at this location.

Great staff here..friendly, paying attention to the room, and helpful. The honey bees in the space alarmed me..but the staff said they are worker honey bees which means they are not agressive..he assured me stings dont happen.

My new destination for returning recyclables. Not only a shorter commute from my apartment, but the whole atmosphere is brighter, and the service is great.

Same short-changed experience as others (Beware). I usually use other Express Depots that are closer to me, but this one was on my way to lunch so i dropped off our usual-sized bag ~$5 worth via the express service. Got $2.50 and the count looked all wrong to me 8 plastic & 17 glass, when we had at least 5 aluminum cans as well that didn't make the count.Never had this issue with my normal depot. Will never return and do not recommend for others, unless you like getting short-changed or ripped off.

Good recycling depot in the neighbourhood. It is fairly clean as staff clean up the counters throughout the day and the staff who works here are friendly and honest. My only suggestion is to install a sink with warm running water and soap so that people can wash their hands afterwards.

Standard brown beer bottles and aluminumalcohol containers are not part of the Return-It systemThey are the responsibility of and covered under the BCBrewers Recycled Container Collection Councilstewardship program and only those Return-It depots thathave a Brewers Distributor license to manage this materialcan provide a full deposit refund. The staff is amazing and the music is always great. Seriously. This place has the best Jazz selection playing at all times, and today I got to listen to Count Basie while carefully putting my bottles to recycle.

Open 7 days, it is also a convenient location, staffs are friendly and work fast.
