Guelph Urbex Walking Tours
We did the Ward Murder Street tour last night and had an absolutely amazing time. Our guide Bonnie has so much passion for history and the neighborhood that the murder bit wasn’t really even necessary to make it a fascinating walk.Hearing about what buildings used to be, what industries were operating, what life was like - even why the streets are designed the way they are - was more than enough. Sometimes I feel like tours like these kind of sensationalize tragedy but the focus was less on specific deaths and more about how those fit within the context of the time and place, with only a few modern things put in at the end. Bonnie was really respectful, as well as being super engaging and clearly passionate about what she does.
