Ocean Quest Adventures - Petty Harbour

It was an amazing experience. They knew where the fish were, for sure. Caught lots and had a great day on the water. Yummy dinner that night. It doesn't get any fresher.

We had a great experience on our zodiac tour. Was a little rough but our captain Johnny O kept us quite safe on the boat. Was exhilarating actually! We were a bit too late in the season to see whales but lots of birds and several sunfish that came right up to the boat. He also took us in around St. Johns Harbour and Quidi Vidi. We will definitely do this tour again next time we are in Newfoundland!

We did the 2 hour ocean safari and had one of the greatest experiences of our life!! We got so close to whales and got to have dolphins jumping right beside our boat. John was very knowledgeable and we felt completely safe. I would definitely recommend this tour if you want to get an up close and personal experience with the animals of St.Johns

Great beer and atmosphere, wish they had proper food service rather than food trucks, but the truck food was great

We originally had our day planned for a Thursday morning, but unfortunately the wind was too high, so it got moved to Friday afternoon. They gave us the option of getting a refund or moving the date. We were very set on snorkelling with whales, so we postponed it to the next afternoon. Usually this tour only runs in the morning, but they made an exception for our group.I really anted to give this 5 stars, but we didn't see any whales, which was disappointing. It was quite expensive for a 3 hour boat ride. They do prepare you that you may not see anything and I understand that they can't control the animal life. It would be nice if they had a discount for days when whales are not seen during whale month (July).On the plus side, the staff are very friendly and are all about safety. We did get to go snorkelling for about 10 minutes and we also saw seagulls. I wish when we didn't see a whale that we could do more snorkelling near the coast, but we didn't get a chance.If I saw a whale, I'm sure my review would be right up there with the 5 star reviews, but I'm afraid it didn't happen for us.

Booked for a 2h safari trip...amazing! Johnny O took us out and was great, you could feel his passion! The landscape is from another world, and we got the chance to see a few whales, some pretty close to the boat :) would 100% recommend! Oh and the boat ride was extremely fun!
