My bill was higher for Jan 2023, then december. Even we were not home for the 30days in Jan!!!! Fraud!!! Scam!!!

Ever since you have taken over Hamilton the outages are ridiculous compared to your predecessor. Terrible. With what we pay hydro your track record is shameful.

This company is the worst. Last week they cut my neighbors driveway with a concrete saw. Absolutely destroyed my car, which was next to where they where cutting. Didn't use water, didn't ask me to move did inform me in any way just started cutting .Zero stars for your completely garbage service and horrible work ethics. You should be ashamed of your employees and how they conduct their business. Zero skills, Zero care, Zero responsibility,Zero accountability.

These company is a scam. I don’t even have my billing with this company and they threaten me by turning off my hydro. I am up to date with my supplier which isn’t even in there region. They told me if I didn’t come and pay cash they would turn off my hydro in a couple hours.Beware of this company!!!!

Yesterday morning a squirrel caused one of the fuses that feed our plaza to blow. This was a real concern because we’re a deli store near 50 Point conservation with a lot of refrigeration. Alectra was there in about a 30 minutes and saved the day. The 3 gentleman were very friendly and we were very grateful for their speedy response. I hope they enjoyed the sandwiches.

As a new customer I saw the negative reviews and thought wow, this company seriously needs to work on customer service. However, today I had to call to resolve a billing issue I had with the previous owner of this home, and the rep I spoke to was fantastic. She was smart and knowledgeable and wrote me a stellar email I could pass along to help fix my problem. She also took the time to clearly explain why the current billing cycle was ‘off’, and why I got a new bill before the previous one was due, easing my angst knowing it wasn’t likely to happen again. All in all a great customer service experience and one I had to review. Thank you Jennifer B. :)

Absolutely the worst company ever. Horrible customer service. Nothing but problems with my billing since Alectra took over Horizon -- nearly two years of headaches. They are constantly sending me threats of a lien against my house when their billing is the culprit. Not once has someone been assigned my billing issues and given me a direct number in which to call them back. Going in circles with no resolution. Wish I could give Alectra zero stars. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible.

ZERO STARS. With what we pay for electrical service the service needs a massive improvement. We have had a power outage now for 13 hours and counting resulting in loss of a large amount of food. Considering I called a soon as it happened. It took almost 4 hours for someone to investigate . Then a crew came out and left 30 minutes later putting pylons on the transformer. After numerous calls in the morning we find out the transformer has to be replaced. This was at 10:30 am the next morning. So no one bothered to dispatch a crew to do this til 9 am from 2 am the previous night. Then I was told it will be completed sometime after lunch. So now I was left to go out and buy breakfast and lunch for the family and throw out the contents of 2 fridges. Crews arrived at 1:15pm to replaced the transformed and power was restored by 2 pm. so 45 mins work!!!.I called the claims department which then tells me to leave a message and they will return my call in 2 to 3 business days. Its a friday so really 5 days or I can email. I emailed them my details. RIDICULOUS SERVICE . Update: my claim of $179.53 was denied because they don't pay out loss of food claims!!!! So through no fault of my own and their delayed service , I am out this money. I wish there was another electrical service option .

Alectra needs to get their billing straightened out. I've got a bill on September 22, October 5 and now October 31. Pick ONE day per month and bill me. I've been billed over $1000 in 43 days. This makes absolutely no sense. Every other utility company I've ever been with bills on you on the same day every month. If you call customer service, they tell you they can't help it and they don't know when the billing cycles are. If there was another option for Hamilton, I'd choose it.

Embarrassing company, any time it rains there’s a power outage because they are to cheap to fix anything though they love to r@pe the community for power. Disgusting this is our only source
