One of the best institution of learning in Canada. It's a place to consider when obtaining a new degree or stepping upper comes into you mind

Love this university. It has such a beautiful campus. Many of the professors are fantastic. Wish there was a few more resources offered to the Arts as the focus has been on Engineering.There are two gyms (one of which is used for convocation) that include a swimming pool and skating rink, two big libraries, many parking lots, at least 5 Tim Hortons', and countless geese.There is always something going on here and the atmosphere is great for learning and innovation. Often see the president walking through campus and there are always new buildings or other additions popping up throughout campus as it eternally seems to expand!Lots of places to park but it can get quite busy if there are many events going on. Gets a little quieter during the summer as less students are enrolled for the spring term.Many residence options for first years, upper years, grad students, and even families. Though it is a large campus everything is in walking distance and it is like its own little village.

A great university for Engineering programs in Canada. I was amazed by these building structures that I have added here.

I went to the University of Waterloo from September 2021 to April 2023. My experience at this school was nothing but average, while the clubs at the school are fairly amazing everything else was average to say the least.

Awesome attended GeeGee vs Warriors basketball game! Cousin tripped on stairs and the Waterloo staff was so caring and helpful to ensure she was ok. Only four stars due to lack of signage.... Where is the sports building? Which parking lot? How do we get there? Do we need to pay? Signs are wonderful.

Proud of being a student here. Through the coop program, you are more likely to explore the real job world a lot more than students from other universities. You will meet all kinds great people here -- the ones that study really hard, the ones that find awesome job, the ones that make a lot of friends, and the ones that have innovative ideas and want to change the world.Work load: Depends on your program, the work load will be drastically different. Most engineering programs have classes from 830am to 4pm. For engineering, its very common to have team project or lab report every single term, so teamwork is very important.Lab and equipment access: Engineering labs open 24/7 except on holidays. MME engineering also has a place where you will get free access to 3d printer, laser cutter and CNC machine. There is also a machine shop around the E5 bay area.If you want to study engineering or cs, this is one of the best universities in Canada if not the best.

I was promised by the University on last open house that they will provide a co-up during the Nano technology engineering program but %20 of the first year students have been able to get co-up. It is totally wrong and unacceptable.

One of the most amazing campuses I have seen in my life. UWaterloo doesn't just spread the ambiance of cutting-edge research by its beautifully constructed buildings and laboratories but also a sense of aesthetic naturalism by its in-campus flora and fauna.

Not to bad marks accurate (at least more than wlu) counselling lacking wouldn’t offer empathetic listening and made up that cmha was help after they said they weren’t empathetic listeners either conrad grebel at the time not as bad as wlu but sought out friendships and peer mentors friend referred to me was getting empathetic listening and made fun of me I think because I was ghosted and the peer mentor program wouldn’t call me back after leaving peer mentor position to go to uw and seek out educated friends instead got this. Also got reduced to face time with child here as part in probably some game to make me not talk to him because they apparently moved to NC and then I provided mother with my airfare to fly out there after being invited they apparently returned home weeks later. I prefer in person interactions. Prior to this I sent a card and after that they moved. Not into jealous mind games was hoping to not be controlled like a child as an adult when stalkers acting like them to abuse me.
