No respect for hardworking, dedicated staff. They do the bare minimum for their residents so that they can cut costs. 0/10 would recommend. Would give 0 stars if possible.

I could talk to my grandmother but nothing else! If your not on the list nothing more!. I respect security but if you prove your family what the heck!!

Long term care and retirement home together under one roof. Retirement home has a capacity of 30+ private suites and the long term care is secure with a capacity of 45 shared suites.The retirement side offers 3 floors of private basic accommodations with care available through the LHIN if more than once a week showering required. It offers independent living otherwise with medication administration including meals and snacks. Regulated by the RHRA.The long term care side provides total care for residents with registered staff provided 24 hours a day and PSW support for care, also 24 hours a day. Regulated by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care.

Seven years ago, my mother had a stroke which devastated my whole family. At the time we were told that she wouldn’t be able to come home. Our main concern was finding her a long-term care home where she would be treated like family. We found that in Orchard Terrace.We are very happy with the care my mother receives there. All the staff are wonderful. They call her Nonna and that’s how they treat her, just like their own grandmother.We are notified when there is a change or a concern with our mom. They are always on top of it.We never worry about her, because we know she’s being very well taken care of. Each of the staff offer a personal touch providing us comfort knowing she’s ok when we can’t be there. We made the best decision putting my mom in Orchard Terrace. We’ve never regretted it! Thanks to all the staff for doing a great job keeping our mom healthy and safe!

My Mother has been in this retirement home for over 3 years. The staff is friendly and professional. They are following all of the COVID standards, and the facility has been COVID free. Sometimes my Mother doesn't like the food, so she is always provided an alternative to the menu. Nice location, from her room she sees the escartment.

My mother-in-law has been a resident at the Orchard Terrace Retirement Home for over 4 years. Our family transitioned her to this retirement home after a tragic passing of a family member. From day one, my mother-in-law was welcomed with such care and compassion in a very safe and clean environment. The staff helped her transition to her new home at a very difficult time in her life. We came to refer to the staff as our Orchard Terrace Family. She enjoyed playing bingo and participating in the activities. We loved that it is a smaller facility as my mother-in-law had some mobility issues and was accommodated on the main floor close to dining room as she couldn’t use an elevator. We always found it comforting knowing she was in good hands when we couldn’t be there to assist her especially during the trying times during Covid. We made the right decision in having her reside at Orchard Terrace. We are so grateful beyond words to all of you our Orchard Terrace Family

No respect for my work. I was a recreational therapist here for 3 months then got kicked to the curb for doing what the residents wanted instead of what management wanted. Got thrown around like some wild card.

My Mom has been living at Orchard Terrace since 2017.When the time came for my mom to make the transition from living independently in her home to assisted living we toured several homes and when my Mom was ready to make the change she chose Orchard Terrace! I was very relieved and had my fingers crossed for awhile because I was impressed right away by the cozy home atmosphere and the friendly staff. It became apparent right away that the staff truly cared for the residents.At first my Mom lived for a year and a bit on the retirement side and then as her needs increased she required Nursing Care.I was nervous about this change but what I also noticed about the staff is that they at times take care of me as well by acknowledging that it is hard for family to be away from their loved ones and so I noticed they also reinforced for me that my Mom would be okay and helped me with also accepting the change. They understand the relationship and stresses that exist between the resident and their family. I am fortunate to live close to the home and am able to visit the home 3 to 4 times a week and consistently observe the kind and loving way they speak and care for the residents. The home is smaller and I feel this really helps to create a family atmosphere for my Mom and myself. I always feel welcome and I and the caregivers enjoy a relationship of mutual respect and appreciation for the part we each play in helping my Mom feel that she belongs and is safe and cared for. I would not hesitate to recommend Orchard Terrace to future residents and their family. I am very thankful.

My papa has been there for years. He is now in the hospital for the SECOND time as his extremely high blood sugar levels were neglected for days a long with a bladder infection. This is the second time he's been sent to the hospital for high blood sugar levels being neglected while at this home. He has been waiting to be transferred to a different home as family no longer wants him there due to our concerns of neglect. Why are families paying ridiculous amounts of money and thinking they are sending their loved ones to a trusting place when they are being neglected!!!

My brother has been living at Orchard Terrace for 5 years now. The staff take such wonderful care of him from setting up facetime every week to actuallyhelping him write a birthday card to his girlfriend. The recreational activities are great not only for people who can participate without help but also for people with mobility issues.I find the staff very compassionate and understanding especially when you have a variety of patrons suffering from not only mobility problems but also dementia living under one roof.I am always informed of upcoming events or issues that the staff feel requires my attention.I am so pleased that my brother was able to get into such a caring facility.
