The Clock Tower
If you are spending a few days in Gananoque it is a good idea to walk around the harbour and streets. There you will find a prominent clock tower on Pine st. The tower was donated to the city in 1903 by a famous bridge builder Charles MacDonald and his wife. The tower stands at 85 ft and there is a clock face high upon on each of its four sides of its structure. The clock still works and you can hear it's bell ringing during the day.Historically, the bell was used not only to announce the time, but it also functioned as an alert call in case of an emergency or fire.If you like my photos, reviews or video chime in with a thumbs up
