Ordered the Fermentation starter kit and the crock was shattered to pieces on my first order. Asked if Lee valley could replace the crock and they did! Second crock came and had a crack and couldnt hold water. Again I asked to see if they would replace it, I figured they would just refund me and I would need to look else where. They let me know they would keep trying as long as I wanted to keep trying to receive it! On the third attempt I received and undamaged crock. I appreciate their efforts and just hope no one has the same shipping experience (not Lee Valley's fault, all the packages were certainly packed well to avoid damage). Thanks again!

Weird store, mostly empty space. Then when you want something, you write down the product number and they fetch it for you from the back. Almost like Distribution au consommateur" back in the days.But they do have nice products

The place is busy, long line because of covid but its run well and you can make an order online and just pick it up without going in the store if you prefer.Everything there is top quality and the staff is amazing.Update. No more covid lines. Top quality demos, you can see everything before you decide or you can order online for delivery or pickup.

Had a wonderful experience. Trying to update really old cabinets with Blum hinges and thought I wouldn’t be able to because of a reverse bevel in my door but Max was amazing. He showed me some options and assured me they would work. Really knew what he was talking about. I felt so defeated before I walked it and now I’m super exited to start my project. Thanks so much Max!!

It's like they looked at the inefficient and slow way that the SAAQ serves people and decided 'yes this would be the perfect way to run our store - make people buying just one item wait 30 - 60 minutes behind someone who's asking elaborate and extensive questions about something'

There is one valuable reason for offline shopping: qualified personnel. For each section you have specialists who know and understand the products they have on the inventory.For example, I was looking for sharpening stones and how to use them with different tools and knives. And it ended with a long and detailed explanation and discussion.There are places online where you will get some other product for a lower price. But you will have to rely on fake online reviews, let alone getting advice.In the race to the bottom many shops have no qualified personnel at all.

There should be at least one register for quick purchases. Everyone has to take a number and wait in the same lines as people requiring assistance including those who already have one or two items.I went to pick up an eco friendly varnish and found it sad to see the immense waste of paper it is for every single client that enters to have to take a number just to be able to pay.

I love the way the store is arranged. I love the fact that we can find diverse and high quality products, that we, normally, could only find in specialized stores, if ever. I also like the service. And... it's not voided of importance that it is a Canadian business!

This is not a place for bargain hunters. The prices are a little high however they only sell quality products. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Alice helped us find everything we were looking for since not all their products were displayed. Don't forget to take a number to checkout.

Great friendly and efficient staff. A pleasure wandering through all the different sections of the wast floor space and discovering such a wide variety of practical and quality products. Fast becoming one of my favorite places to shop. The self serve computer screen for product look up is a plus
