While I can not comment on the ability of Container World / Commercial Logistics to transport freight, I do feel qualified to comment on company integrity. In November of 2021 my car was damaged in a parking lot in Kelowna by a Commercial Logistics vehicle as noted by a witness to the accident. The driver of the truck did not stop. I’m hopeful that the driver did not know and this was not negligence. I called Commercial Logistics about 30 minutes after the accident to let them know and they said they would get back to me. Nothing happened so I scheduled repairs and went through ICBC as a hit and run. Because my witness did not get a plate number for either the truck or trailer, ICBC could not assign the accident to Commercial Logistics but given the prominent logo on the trailer, we’re pretty comfortable it was Commercial Logistics. The Kelowna rep could (and may have) spoken to his drivers that day or checked GPS logs (if existing) but either never did or chose to not inform ICBC or myself. For more than 6 months I have tried to work with the company to get them to reimburse me for the $300 deductible I needed to pay for this accident but they have consistently given me the run-around and eventually said they would do nothing. I also spoke to their corporate (Vancouver) Safety Officer and got the same run-around. If that is how they treat someone who they’ve inflicted damage on then I would be very careful about the treatment you get entrusting your freight business to them.
