Crawford Metals and his owner Brian are professional and very knowledgeable for both large and small metal jobs.In a DIY job, I had an issue when creating extra shelving in the upper section of several closets (builders leave about 28 inches of empty space above which is mostly useless!).The standards (vertical rails on the back) only come in 12 inches or 30 inches, alas most houses have only about 24-28 inches left for the standard to fit vertically, see pictures.The standards are not something a DIYer would typically cut, as they are made of solid steel.After several calls, I found Crawford Metals. Brian (the owner) understood exactly what I wanted to be done, asked the right questions to avoid wasting materials and time and cut all the pieces on the same day and at a fair price. Furthermore the people I had the pleasure to talk to are courteous and knowledgeable, they care about their craft!Corners on the piece are rounded and he even asked me if I wanted the piece to be painted!I was now able to fit two layers of shelves in addition to the wood one from the builder. Wife is really happy. Happy wife, happy life.If you want it done right, the first time, call Crawford Metals; for large jobs and small.Note: Picture with the drill shows the completed job with the 2 ft standards on the back (vertical pieces) that Crawford Metals cut from the original 30 inch pieces. The other picture shows how much wasted space there would be with the shorter 12 inch standard which is what I had initially put in.

Quick repair for 2 projects and fair prices.

These guys cant be bothered to answer the phone or return your call. Or even call you back right after he says he will call you back. Wasnt even able to get a price. I gave them my plans he said he would do it and call me back with price. That never happened. And when i called back weeks later he ghosted me. Don't waste your time.

Moderate at best quality control on most outgoing products. Not too picky on meeting the exact specs of your drawings.

Great company to deal with. Great turnaround and good quality on custom made items.
