Wonderpup Academy

Kierin is a wonderfully knowledgeable trainer. I have fairly extensive experience with both behavioural and dog sport R+ training but we are always looking to hear new perspectives and voices. Kierin has been great in giving tips and guidance for both our dogs, one who is a young adult and working on her reactivity as well as our puppy. The puppy play classes are great, especially for my pup who is easily bored and loves to work her brain; great mix of free time and work time (trying out new obstacles and tricks). The space also has a great set up, spacious, low stress and great equipment for body work/awareness!

I love all the work she is doing in the neighborhood to help educate and connect owners. I have learned so much from her and Baylie loves going to school to learn tricks and commands and she sends out pictures, which I love.My friend and I also did a combined training session to introduce our dogs and it went so well. Kierin has a vast understanding of different breeds and apply's that to training. Even just after one session we have seen results. We had worked with 2 different trainers before finding Wonderpup with our almost 1y/o puppy. He is smart and sweet but was reactive to everything (people, dogs, sounds). Kierin was easy to talk to and spent a lot of time really getting to know our dog and his personality as well as problem solving the best strategy to help him when he’s out in the world. We’ve seen a big improvement over 2 months of working with Kierin and finally have hope that he can be a calm dog that can go anywhere someday. Kierin is kind and generous with her time and I would recommend Wonderpup to any frustrated dog parents who are looking for some help

Kierin is an incredibly knowledgeable dog trainer. Her positive approach yields results. For example: my 3-year-old mini-poodle developed separation anxiety over the pandemic period since I was working from home. Kierin provided valuable insights on how best to go about training my girl out of her fear, including desensitization methods. We started small and now I am able to leave my girl for an hour and she does pretty well! This is still a work-in-progress, these things take a lot of time but Wonderpup training has given me so many useful tools and hope.

I adopted a 3 year old dog about 2 months ago who was afraid of strangers and other dogs. Within 4 private sessions at Wonderpup Academy, my dog is chilling out with new people in our home and is playing with dogs!The trainer Kierin is outstanding at analyzing dog behaviour and providing solutions that calmed my dog and gave her confidence. One bonus is that the owner has a few beautiful dogs that she’s gently introduced my pup to. This allowed my pup to learn from watching them in a safe, quiet place. During our sessions, I’m also learning how to be a great pawrent and bonding with my girl so much. The improvements are remarkable (even strangers in the dog park noticed)!My pup and I both look forward to our private sessions, and we can’t wait to attend some group walks and exercise sessions, too. We’ve been working with Kieren and Ed to train our new pup since the first week that we brought him home a few months ago and we absolutely love them. Kieren is so passionate and knowledgeable, she really goes above and beyond for her pups and “pawrents”, and we feel in such good hands. She answers all of our questions and concerns and always helps us address things head on, and she takes the time to get to know us so that she can help us be the best puppy parents possible. We really look forward to our weekly lessons and we know our pup loves them so much too!

She is very knowledgeable in dog behaviour and is a great and passionate trainer! We did 3 private trainings with Kierin and I already see the difference in my dog. Kierin & Ed are amazing, passionate and warm people. They made training our 8 year old Bella fun and engaging.They were both attentive listeners and educated us with such in-depth knowledge, we feel significantly more confident in handling various common daily occurrences.Their approach to training is effective and ensures that our pup and us are always positively impacted.I Highly recommend them or at least try a consult to see how great they are!

The philosophy and ethics surrounding dog training shared by Both Keenan and her husband Ed are the best I have seen so far... Their gentle and science-backed approach is highly effective. They not only teach you and your pup cool tricks, but also teach you how to better understand your dog and dogs in general. The one-on-one class is taught by a licensed Service Dog trainer, who understands how to motivate Service Dogs and non-service dogs alike. Through their training, you will learn how to keep your dogs safe, happy, and most Importantly, goofy, as they should be. I personally have had the pleasure of meeting three of their four dogs, as a way to teach mine to properly interact with new friends. We are so pleased with the training our pup and daughter received through Wonderpup Academy. Our dog became more confident and calm with Kierin's help, and our daughter gained really great leadership skills. This was by far her favourite summer camp! Kierin's approach is very positive and encouraging - she recognizes the personalities and strengths of each dog and builds upon those.
