The Orchard Children's Centre

The centre is just amazing. All the staff, the teachers everyone is so professional, loving and caring. My son will be going to JK this year. He was a big fan of Lori, Ginny & Catherine. He did have hard time adjusting when he started but all the staff made him extremely comfortable and welcoming. The activities, food and play is so much interesting for the kids. I would say giving them 5* is less, they are worth much more.

All staff is fantastic! Warm, welcoming and take such great care of the kiddos!

I cannot begin to tell you how highly we regard The Orchard Children's Centre. They became an integral and vital part of our family as we raised our two daughters until they could go to Kindergarten. Joan and the staff love the kids and take care of them like they were their own children. They are there to help your family and work with you on any issue that comes up with your little ones, and your kids will be happy, healthy, well fed and well adjusted for having been together with other kids their own age and caring adults in a fully inclusive environment.If we had another child, one of my very first stops would be the OCC to introduce the little one and book a spot for when we had to go back to work. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone who asks - do not hesitate sending them to this daycare centre, they'll take care of your kids so very well.

My son hasn't started yet but the unbelievable professionalism and kindness they have shown us has won us over. Every time I go in there it is always clean and everyone is so wonderful especially Rachel, she's amazing and a joy to talk with. I couldn't wait to put my deposit down and have my son be apart of this daycare! I know my son will be a good hands and it's such a relief!

My daughter loved going there. Staff were great, taco Tuesday was her favorite day of the week and she was well cared for. I liked that the windows to the plaza were uncovered and playground was visible. I had no concerns but I do believe oversight and visibility are great ways to eliminate issues. It was also SOOOO convenient to run into the grocery store or bakery at pickup and there was always parking. These are handy factors in a busy family and with siblings often along. It was a great experience for my little one.

Both of my kids have gone to the OCC and we have been over the moon with the service, kindness, and mindset that reaches across all the staff. They create a safe, compassionate, and educational environment for the kids. We were previously with another daycare centre and the experience is night and day. My kids comes home happy, tell us about their day and all the exciting experiences they had, and they can’t wait to get back to class the next day and share stories about the evening with their teachers. The teachers have truly become more like family than care providers in my kids’ eyes. Bailey, Claire, Kennedy, Lori, and Catherine (the list goes on) have all been wonderful. The food is great, they support the kids’ individual potty training and nap journeys, and keep us well up to date on the app with multiple status updates and pictures throughout the day. Highly recommended!

OCC has been integrated into our family for over 11 years now. My daughter attended 10 years ago when she was as young as 16 months old and continued there until she was of school age. We loved OCC so much we even enrolled our daughter during PA days until age 5/6. Our daughter absolutely loved OCC and had so many positive experiences there, it was a second home to her in many ways. Many years later we had a baby boy who too up until recently attended the OCC from a very young age. Like his sister, his experience was completely positive, happy, memorable. The staff at OCC are warm, caring, professional, nurturing, engaging and go above and beyond their call of duty. We were temporarily displaced from our residence for a few months at one point and with no family living close by to assist, Joan and her team immediately assisted us with our son, making him feel extra loved and safe at the OCC. they made provisions to the schedule to have him at the OCC every day of the week to assist us while we tansitioned back into our home. We recently relocated to USA and the friendly, amazing staff at OCC continue to stay in touch with us. They check up on our children-they even offered to do a facetime chat with our son so that he could see his friends. They offer a HI Mama app where they post photos of activities, make mention of accomplishments and ongoing learning through the app which is incredibly useful and fun if you want to check in on your little ones periodically. I would not have sent my children anywhere else for preschool. We are forever grateful to Joan and her amazing team for such wonderful experiences provided to both of our children through out the years. Keep doing your thing OCC, we are honored we got to be part of your centre for so many years. Thank you so much Joan and amazing OCC team.

I was looking for a place for our daughter.I had to turn around when I saw that the outside, in the kids playground had a massive 3'x5' Trans-activist flag hanging. Just above where the kids play, but low enough for them to grab it.Not a chance would I trust this place with my child, and I'm glad I saw it before I spent time a dime on it.Keep that ideology away from other people's children.

My daughter went to the centre for three years, and I highly recommend it. Staff are caring, enthusiastic and fun. The space is beautiful and well-organized.We often walk by, and she talks about how she misses it. We appreciate the great memories and the close friends she still has today.

The staff are so caring and professional. They are creative and provide wonderful and varied learning activities for the children! They communicate positively and regularly about daily activities and how they are supporting your child in the program. A very friendly place.
