Great food , service and AMAZING atmosphere! Their deck area is beautiful and relaxing. I highly recommend going here. The Cob salad is fantastic!

I had the absolute pleasure to visit this welcoming pub last weekend. I was promptly greeted with a smile and seated on the beautiful patio. The patio has plenty of umbrellaed tables, beautiful over-flowing flower pots, and a very interesting tree which the patio deck has been built around (kudos for that). The service was impeccable, the food was delicious, and the drinks refreshing. Every group of diners was having a wonderful time. To my surprise there was also live music which was a delight. There were a number of well behaved dogs on the patio and as a dog lover it was so nice to see. I even saw a tv celebrity enjoying lunch with his family and dog.I'll be returning again soon. If you're visiting Port Hope, The Beamish House Pub is a go to!

We came here on our way home from Coburg, after debating between 3 places in the area we chose this one and were not disappointed. The atmosphere and food were great. Friendly staff. Added bonus is they allow dogs onto the patio area. Recommend the crispy brussels sprouts as an app.

Today was my 6th anniversary and because of Covid most of my plans went to pot. However I was going to be in Port Hope today so I emailed the bar and asked about making a reservation. When we arrived we had to sign in and as soon as we were done the hostess greeted us and right away the professionalism was apparent.Our server was Laurel and this amazing lady was so sweet and hard working. During the order process I messed up and did not explain my dietary needs and she quickly fixed the problem at no cost to me.Most servers seem to wait until you have a mouthful before checking with you, but not Laurel. Her timing was bang on and only approached when I was taking a drink.My wife ordered the steak and I ordered the chicken Parm. The first bite and I was hooked. It was delicious. The steak was well done but that is how my wife wanted it. The drinks kept coming and the tiny table was always cleared on time.The soft music playing was an eclectic blend of smooth jazz and classic soft rock. The people on the terrace were spaced out well so that we did social distance but still could not hear each other. The atmosphere was relaxing and it only took an hour for the dinner to be served.This is the best restaurant experience I have had in all of Port Hope. The staff are amazing and for sure we will be going back.My new favourite place in town.

In the heart of downtown Port Hope. Great atmosphere to have lunch on their very spacious patio. There are plenty of indoor and patio seating. Every table on the patio has umbrellas. Servers are very friendly. Had the Chicken Cobb salad, no bacon and balsamic on the side. Portions are large and very filling. Colleagues have fish and chips.

The food was expensive. There isn’t much choice for vegetarians. The only option on the main menu was a veggie burger. They don’t even have a pasta option. I ended up ordering a salad and a side of brussels sprouts (which were very dry and almost burnt). The room was cold and uninviting. They don’t allow reservations for the patio. And as a heads up, they automatically add a 20% gratuities charge to the bill. To end on a positive note, the server was lovely.

It was our first time in Port Hope and heard that Beamish House had a great patio for lunch.Before I talk about anything else I have to give a huge shoutout to our server and I'm very sorry I didn't get her name. She was rushing all over but was in a great mood, cracking jokes and making everyone feel welcome.We had the Beamish and Blue Cheese burgers. Both were delicious and would definitely go back and order them again. The one disappointment was that they were out of fish so couldn't try their fish n chips.Tasty burgers, nice patio, cold beer, and super friendly service makes Beamish House Pub a must visit.

Great food, service and draft and atmosphere! The type of place you could bring the girls/lads for bevvies or your grandma for brunch.We snuck in on a Sunday afternoon and were so glad we did. Crept passed a big front room and an adorable (yet bustling) little kitchen. Our server was warm and accomadating in the way that makes you feel right at home and game for a second pint. Good old pub fare served really well. I couldn't help but notice the locals streaming in and warmly greeting each other, everyone's dishes looked good! I was impressed with my plate and the fresh substantial salad served on the side. My partner was charmed with the taps. Cheers!

Great dog friendly spot for a Friday afternoon lunch. The staff are excellent and very focussed on making everything right. Nice selection of food, although the fish tacos could use a little spice and the chicken poutine could be better prepared( the chips were cool and not crisp when it was served). Just a side note about parking…if you are lucky there is Free Parking in the 2 lots behind the patio, if not you have to pay for on street parking
