Great and very wise proffesors! Compared to other universities in the city, smu's medium size classes is a great way to reach profs and ask questions. Student service is very helpful to write formal letters such as making a resume and applying for student visa. If you are a transferred student make sure you declare your major on time, rules and policies may change.

Hello,I have Bachelor of engineering degree in mechanical stream with 57% marks with 8 backlog history.I have 3+ years of experience in various fields.I have good English score ( 89% ) in 12th.Can I apply to your university? I would like to shine light on a terrible experience at the school. It reflects the ability and distaste of staff and their associates. I was treated poorly on the foundation of my personality and religious advancements. Very uncomfortable to go to the school and feel confident.

Best University in Halifax, not that I am biased or anything, but in all honesty it's a good university especially if you are into Arts such as Geography, Psychology, Socialogy and even Astonomy. Its also good for those business inclined students mainly because of the Sobey School of Business which is part of the University, it has a good reputation. Also is smaller than Dalhousie with much smaller classes.

This university charged me for medical insurance & then wants me to pay for the medical expenses. I am not going to pay for the medical fees and also for the insurance both. The university ruined my credit score and now I'm refused by the banks for any financing because of them. Just Sorry" from the university is not going to fix my credit score."

Decent university. Has a good business program with smaller class sizes so you can actually get to know your prof. The layout of the university is also quite convenient with all the buildings being interconnected. Could use better food options on and around campus though and this is definitely a liberal leaning university. Don't bother going here if you have any conservative viewpoints as your opinion will get steamrolled. Also people here tend to be cliquey and it can be quite difficult to make friends. There is no where near enough seating and study areas though on campus. It's impossible to find anywhere to work on projects with others on campus.

based on my personal experience, having to smell bad smell caused by the carpet and floor in the room with flies flying around. I have cleaned them, and it still smells like it has been there for a long time and rotten. I asked staff whether they could help. they rejected and saying I must stay with this smell in the room.Imagine it is yourself.. sincerely hope my health is not affected.Appreciate all the efforts they have taken to look into this, but still ended up with this situation..

Overall nice university.Gym is nice. Studying anything related to commerce or finances or business are the best here. Most things taught here tend to be practical and directly useful. Classes are relatively small but not as small as MSVU.Only complaint is this university is a little farther away from everything.
