Golf Town

The product in this store is top notch, however the staff is to be desired.I walked in here with the intent of buying a Taylormade Tour Staff bag and I did exactly that begrudgingly. It was the only store in the city with 1 available.I walked in the door to 2 staff talking to themselves about misc life things, no hello.I walked past two more staff on the way to the VERY BACK wall of the store...nothing.I helped myself to the pole and hook for the bags so I could look at the 4 bags they had in stock for the one with the least flaws...by myself.Once i selected my bag, I walked it past all those previous staff to the cash, where I was asked so this is the one?".No....i'm just putting a $500 bag on the counter for fun....The website price and the in store price were off by $120...but at least they gave me the sale price.... take the small wins where we can in this store.My least favourite store in the city based on lack of customer service. unfortunate because its the nicest store in the city. Can you just move the staff from the west store to the north store? problem fixed."

I called in about a half hour before they closed (the true time when every sales worker just dreads having the phone ring) looking for specific items and while they didn’t have them in stock the gentleman on the phone was so helpful and let me know there was limited stock available online. He’s probably the only reason I was able to get what I wanted by telling me that! 10/10, so nice. Definitely where I’ll go next time I shop in person if this is any indication of the rest of the staff!

Went in with a return on some irons I was unhappy with. After a quick phone calls with Kevin he asked that I come in and speak with management. The manger today was a lady named Jill. She was a pleasure to deal with and my return went smoother than any return I’ve ever experienced. Thanks Jill and thanks golf town. I’ll be back!

Ken (Assistant Manager) was a huge help today, I called in with an issue I was having with my new clubs I had purchased on the 14th of April. At this point I had already played 4 rounds with the clubs and I’ll have to admit they were great but not perfect as I had just transitioned from bladed irons to a more forgiving iron and after reading through my return and exchange policies I had less hope and figured I’d be stuck with these clubs but after speaking with Ken he had worked with me to come to an agreement on the replacement clubs, it was an expensive mistake on my end as I still had to pay some residual dollars with switching to these new irons but I am in awe at his professionalism and genuine customer service. Thank you for the help today, all is highly appreciated and the supreme level of customer service is always noticed! Thanks again Ken

Terrible customer service if you are a female golfer. I knew what I wanted and had money to spend. They were more interested in watching the round on tv than doing their job. Smart marketers know that middle aged women is the fastest growing demographic of golf. Don’t worry deBours, I’m coming back. At least I know I will be greeted and welcome.

I popped in today looking for a new 3 wood (on sale). The salesman Darryl took the time to find me the club I was looking for, while another associate, Evan R, provided amazing customer service in finding a way to customize it for my swing speed and style of play.This is consistently the best Golftown I have ever been to. Every time I walk in I am met with amazing customer service, professional help, and seem to find exactly what I'm looking for. Well done, folks.

My dad and I went in to buy golf shoes that were on sale. When we got there we had asked Ava S about the sale. The shoes that were displayed weren’t part of the sale so we had deceived to leave. We were about half out our the store and she comes running up to us with my dads exact size and the shoes that were apart of the sale. She definitely needs a raise. She was amazing!!!

I wanted to send a big thank you to the awesome staff at Golf Town North Edmonton for their unbelievable service. Extra special shout out to the general manager Tom Frances. I had an issue with another Golf Town in the city where I purchased a Scotty Cameron Putter. They didn’t give me the correct head cover, nor did they provide me any help in getting the correct one. I approached Tom at the north branch and he IMMEDIATELY took full ownership of the issue and contacted the supplier to get me the correct one. Tom not only understands the Brands and labels that he represents, but he also understands the important Brand commitments. Tom, you exemplify the characteristics of a true Leader who is passionate in delivering excellent customer service. Keep up the great work and wishing you all the best to you and your consistent team. (Also honourable mentions to Ken, Sharmaine & James). It could be beneficial to your whole organization if you did a customer experience seminar or tutorial for your other stores so they can catch up to where your branch is at. Brought in my Ping G410 driver that had a crack in the hosel. Bought the club new in 2022. Ken wrote up a work order and sent it to Ping. The club would be sent also. Three days later I was informed that Ping was replacing it with a new G425. Later that day the G425 arrived.....say what!!! Ping sent the G425 even before getting the G410. A big thank you to Ken and Ping.

Normally I would not leave a review, much less a review that is negative. Aside from the welcome when we entered, no employee had spoken a word to us for over an hour until we had to find someone to ask for help. The store was not overly busy, but finding staff was difficult and frustrating to get something as simple as the second shoe to the one on display which took a significant amount of time. My guest is very new to golf and we could have used some guidance in purchasing a set of clubs for him, but again no one was around to help out. By the end of our visit, we lost our willingness to buy anything so we left. This was all on a Saturday between 11-1 which you would expect the store to be on their A game. I will most likely be trying a different store the next time I need anything from Golf Town.
