It is absolutely the worst to be sick. I was overcome with a sudden and mysterious total body paralysis. Spent weeks in the Royal Alexandra Hospital. At 53 years old told I'd be in that condition for the remainder of my life. However, that was not God's plan for me. I spent a month at Norwood working with their staff with the goal of eventually going home. The other patients and the staff make it more of a home than hospital. Small and intimate and filled with health professionals who like their jobs and want to help you. They became like an extended family to me.The word Nursing Home" can be very frightening. With images of the elderly abused and neglected. That is NOT Norwood. In spite of my condition and being surrounded by others in likewise circumstances

Dr H Sidhu is my mother’s physician and we thank our lucky stars. Dr Sidhu comes to my mothers extended care facility, which helps me because of the mobility issues that she has. My family and I appreciate his caring and patient demeanour.

The staff here care so much for their patients. They are so professional and easy to talk to with and concerns you have. They go about and beyond to go the extra to care for each patient. Our Mom recovered far faster then we expected with their care. We are so happy that there is health care professionals that love their job on Floor 3

Our experience was exceptional. Kind, personalized care. Thank you for making my mother's passing so much easier to accept knowing she was being so well cared for. My mother's last words were to welcome back her a favourite nurse after two days off. Thank you.

I made sure that i waited to do this review and made sure i was clear headed. My thoughts 8 months after. I will never put a loved one in this facility ever again. I felt like i was bringing an animal to the vet and had it put down. Some of the staff were horrible and would ask questions in front of my mom like which funeral home would you like her to go to once she dies" My mom was still coherent at this point and it made her incredible sad and confused. my family made sure that she was dressed and comfortable in her own clothing and every time i visited they didn't even have pants on her

My father just got here and so far I am impressed. He is in a room by himself and it is nice, it’s clean and lots of light from a large window. The staff so far is friendly and helpful. I have been here before a few times when other family members have been here and the experience has always been pleasant. It’s not great if you have to be here but if so you will be well taken care of. Patients coming here from hospitals are usually here for rehabilitation and hopefully are able to go home and the time spent here is usually pretty good.

The decision to send our mom into palliative care was a very difficult one for the family. We were struggling to continue caring for our mom at home, and we knew that we needed full-time, professional care for her. A staff member from the Norwood called to discuss the admission procedure in detail and left us feeling reassured that mom would have excellent 24/7 care. Mom was provided with a clean, private room, and we were able to bring her clothing from home as well as personal possessions to help to make the transition easier. We were able to visit our mom any time of the day or night. The Norwood hospice staff was very supportive and took the time to patiently answer all of our questions. They showed genuine care and compassion for our mom and for the family during this difficult period .Thank you so much to Nili, Sheryl and all of the staff who tirelessly and gently cared for our mother. It was comforting to know that her last days were in a loving, supportive environment.

It was the hardest part of love is watching someone so close to you die .The nurses were exceptionally wonderful and compassionate.Mrs . Kornak passed away in dignity.Thank you !! For keeping her as comfortable during her final days .

Tomorrow will be 2 yes since grandma passed away in the arms of one of your nurses. I know she was at peace in that last moment and I just want to thank you all again for everything you Do. Your jobs cannot be easy and I greatly admire and respect each of you for being there for our loved ones in their last days when we can't be. We tried to be with her but I know she didn't want us there when she finally let go. Again Thank you. I wish there was something I could do to show my appreciation and in memory of my grandmother. <3 You are all wonderful people.
