Patenaude Martial Arts Belleville

I haven't been a member for long but I absolutely love the kickboxing and mma classes. This has quickly become my happy place. The environment is welcoming and the people are kind. The classes are super fun and challenging, in a good way. Plus, the place is run by a badass woman. What's not to love?

Belleville Patenaude Martial Arts classes are my daughter's favourite part of the week. She takes classes on her own and we both enjoy the family weekend class. The instructors are excellent communicators with both children and adults. Their love of the art comes through clearly in how it is taught. Highly recommend.

Signing up at Patenaude was one of the best decision of my life.I did my first Martial Arts and Kickboxing classes this week and will be enrolling my four year old daughter as well. I would highly recommend this dojo to anyone and everyone, for every reason.

My son attends classes at Patenaude and LOVES them. He is learning patience, the value and importance of exercise and the connection between a healthy body and a healthy mind. He is thriving under Mary and Tyler's leadership and looks forward to each class. I highly recommend Patenaude!

Mary is an awesome instructor.She is everything a martial arts instructor needs to be. My daughter has been attending Patenaude in Belleville since Jan 2021, and she always comes home with a sense of pride and confidence, even when Mary and Tyler amps up the work outs!! Thanks for everything Mary!

I've just started kickboxing here, but so far, it has been an excellent experience. Moves are broken down well so that I can understand what to do, while more advanced students are given options to do the same activities at a higher level. Mary is an excellent instructor, and the class is definitely a solid, but fun, workout!

My son has been taking kung fu classes at this school for a year and a half and I would definitely recommend them to parents who have kids interested in learning Martial Arts.Mary and Tyler are a great team of instructors who really know their stuff and know how to motivate kids to do their best. The classes are always organized and combine a mix of learning techniques and fun to keep kids engaged. You can tell that Mary truly cares about her students and she works hard to help them succeed.

My family and I love training at Patenaude! Classes are fun, energetic and fast paced. The instructors are very high level, articulate and encouraging. Really can’t recommend enough! We all love attending class and it’s one of the highlights of our week.

I absolutely recommend Mary and her classes. She is one of a kind! My son joined Little Dragons in summer of 2019 when he was 3 1/2 yrs old and it's been the best experience for my little guy. Mary has lots of patience for the children and great techniques to help them learn such as drills in voice and eye contact. As you can imagine the attention span of a 3 yrs old its very limited, but Mary has a way to get them to pay attention; she incorporates the martial arts techniques through interactive activities keeping it fun for them, where the class doesn't have to be overwhelming. She is right on point, delivering repeated positive attitude training and always points out the importance of listening and focusing skills, which I have to admit I have incorporated home with my son. She makes the children be aware of their own surroundings and implements self-discipline and always encourages to do their best. The class experience teaches my son to be part of a team, but also teaches him that he is responsible for his own actions where he's evaluated on an individual basis.
