Gibson's NOFRILLS Cambridge

For me it's a thrill to walk to store with my little grandson in a stroller and pick up some grocery and produce. The staff is friendly and helpful. Halal chicken and meat is a good option.

Good selection of products, fresh produce and meat/ seafood. Friendly staff, aisles were clean and shelves were always stocked.Good parking, stroller and wheelchair friendly.

We recently shopped here and it’s nice that they have a great selections of food. So many options especially with produce and meat. The store is clean when we got there and its busy during the weekend. Pricing is competitive too.

This is the Dollarama beside Gibson's No frills grocery store. They still have cashiers that can check you out, which is excellent because I don't have the the hassle of checking myself out like a lot of dollar stores. The store was well organized and clean. Friendly staff as well. Probably the best dollar store I've seen in a long time. Worth going to if you need the dollar store kinds of stuff.

I have been a weekly customer here since they opened. During COVID we would use the self checkout so that we could avoid having someone touch our food and being put in the crush of people trying to bag their groceries in the check out lines. We are still not comfortable with the check out process and wish to continue to use the self check out. I have been informed that there is a 15 item limit for the self check out. The day I was turned away I spoke with a manager to inform her that I will be taking my weekly shopping to a store that will let me continue to use self check out. She let me know that all I needed to do was tell the staff my concerns and I would be able to continue to use the self check out option.This weekend we were told we were over the item limit and needed to go to a check out lane. We explained our concerns and were told quite rudely that the store policy applied to everyone and we would not be given any exceptions. Two people argued the point with us, one of them the Manager. When we found that we would have to call in to the office on Monday we discontinued discussing with the two staff that were being rude to us and finished our business. There was a third staff person who was only meant to give us the phone number (which didn't work) who also argued the point with us.I called the office number 3 times today but was unable to connect with anyone or leave a message.

Hadn't been here since it was changed from Metro as i'm not usually in the area, and Food Basics is closer. The extra 10 minute drive to No Frills may be worth it though.Big and clean store with excellent prices.Produce looked great with a good variety.Meats looked like a step up from their competition (Basics/Chopper).Bread/Baked goods were about what you'd typically see as far as items not made in-house, with some International items you don't find in most other stores (Fenugreek Roti). I didn't have time to go down other aisles but I feel safe assuming the International product selection holds true for other departments as well.Only negative I can come up with is the confusing (and maybe a little claustrophobic) entrance/exit area.Definitely will be back.

Competitive pricing, helpful staff, and generally well stocked! If you are looking for very specialty items, they may surprise you but don’t hold your breath.This is my go to grocery store on a weekly+ basis.

Great store. I feel prices are cheaper comparatively. But I suggest to check “Flipp” before going, to save your shopping time. Only two counters open for billing, so we had to wait for 10 mins for billing. Can be improved based on the customers queue.

Very neat with fresh foods. Staff are very helpful. The only thing I don’t like is, at the self checkout the machine always log me out for staff to come and see how many bags i used. I always go with my Pc bags. I don’t think they trust their costumers enough. I wasn’t sure until yesterday. Prices are a little higher as compare to Mississauga where we moved from. I was thinking It would rather be a little less here. Everything else is fine.

My son—who has autism, has done co-op work for this store for YEARS….stocking shelves and working in the dairy section.Do you know what kind of appreciation they have shown him?He gets a dented can of no name pop each shift.Never invited to the Christmas party.Today was his last day, so you know what they did? Gave him a chocolate bar.SHAME ON YOU, taking advantage of special needs kids…
