The Butchery

This place is amazing! The owners are very passionate about locally sourced meat and supporting smaller outfits that raise their animals ethically. We've ordered several pork packages and every time the quality has been excellent, not just a store but an experience.

This is hands down my favorite meat shop in the city. They have an enormous selection of aged and butchered meats, including occasional unusual cuts such as tongue and cheek. Huge shout out to the manager, Jared, who knows the products inside and out and has a commendable wealth of knowledge about the cuts and how to prepare them. Their steaks are fabulous and extraordinary quality, as is their house-made pastrami and liver pate. We have done taste tests between them and other butchers in the city and they also stand head and shoulders above others for the quality of the meat. Their breads are always fresh-baked and stellar. It's not the cheapest place to get meat in the city, but here you really do get what you pay for.

I was a vegetarian for 10+ years and this place made me like meat. Customer service is awesome. They have daily sandwich’s they make to order and you can eat there and enjoy with a beer. My favorite items so far are: fresh ground pork and beef, spinach and cheddar pork sausages, breakfast patties, Landjäger, beef jerky, tomato soup, and pepperoni. Another thing I love about this place is they carry a unique variety of wines. They carry one from The Hatch (West Kelowna) which is very hard to find in Alberta. Go here!

Beautiful store full of local goods and great looking meat. Bought some chicken pate and was told it would last a week. I didn't open it until a week later, but by day 3, I noticed the top layer looking grey. They should think about different packaging for it, or not quoting a week.

A new Edmonton gem of a store for me! I just found this butcher / deli run by RGE RD. Great selection with a focus on quality & Canadian made / local products. Sausage rolls are amazing. Highly recommended.

Always a great place to grab a top notch sandwich. Keep you ete our for the BBQ beef or my favorite the Pork Schnitzel. You can't go wrong with pork.Get a high quality cut of meet here.Ps make sure don't leave without a sausage roll. Normally I'm not a fan but these guys have it figured out... delicious!!

The cost/quality ratio of their sandwiches is insanely good. I recently spent $9 on a giant sandwich with house made bread and mortadella. I don’t know how they are able to keep the price that low but it is very appreciated.Although this is an upscale store, prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality of the product. When it comes to every day items, such as ground beef, it is comparable to a grocery store, but the quality is so noticeably better I can’t justify buying ground beef elsewhere now.

Found this awesome place that sells game meats, as well as traditional meats and a wide variety of other products . The prices are very reasonable and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I definitely will be returning.

Great butchery with a wonderful selection. We also had a beef sandwich that was really yummy.

A nightmare! Ordered a 3 rib prime rib 3 days in advance. Price...$180.00! Went to pick it up on Dec 30 for a New Year's Eve dinner....no ribs and no fat cap! When I asked where the bones were I was told that the person taking the order didn't mention that I wanted the ribs....in a PRIME RIB!!! The guy offered to find some bones and tie them on! Further conversation revealed that the person who took the order wasn't one of their regular staff". What????? And this is my problem
