Real Food For Real Kids & the Real Food Kitchen

Our daughter loves this food at daycare and I love that it is healthy too! Now that they are offering home delivery, I get to see her absolutely devour it too. The meatballs, chili and cocoa beet loaf in particular get gobbled up within mere seconds. The meals taste great to grown-ups, too. Here’s hoping the home delivery continues post-pandemic.

This is trendy capitalist food services at it's worst.The founder/owner is more interested in following food fads than actual nutritional science.Also c'mon, $24 for zuccini noodles + chicken meatballs.This is a business that preys on those with too much money to spend and no time to spend on their kids.Everyone can do better than this.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the Real Food Kitchen! Delicious, healthy, easy to prep food, and the best customer service. Everything we've ordered has been amazing but my family's favourites are the white bean curry, the mac n cheese, and the cocoa beet loaf!

I really appreciate spending more time with my family with the help of Real Food Kitchen! We love all their meal heroes! Saving time chopping and following a recipe means we can spend more time going to the market and thinking about how to add seasonal fresh vegetables etc to round out our meal. Way faster than meal kits!!!! And healthier too!

Our family loves Real Food for Real Kids and it saved us over the past few months! I am a teacher who used to subscribe to a RFRK lunch plan at school and always loved the food. When our daughter started daycare, we intentionally sought out a centre who was catered by RFRK. So when I found out that they started delivering so many of our favourite menu items, I was thrilled! The food is so family friendly - flavourful enough that my husband and I love it, but also totally kid friendly for our toddler. I love the variety of menu items and that there are so many delicious meat and vegetarian options. Having a number of RFRK items stashed away in our freezer at all times has been a lifesaver over the past few months when we’ve been eating at home more than ever before. I really hope that RFRK continues to offer their home delivery service because now I don’t know what we would do without it!

Just tried RFRK home delivery and loved it! I know they usually cater kids but the food is definitely not just for kids. Our faves were the chickpea chowder, the Mumbai chicken, and every single thing on the baked goods list. And the delivery bag came with a chunk of dry ice to keep it frozen, so cool. Feels great to support a local business during the pandemic, especially when the food is so good.

As a Director of a childcare program, food is a very important part of a child's day. RFRK catering services is excellent. Food is fresh, quality is great, lots of variety of foods are available, lots of healthy options, vegetables are hidden in foods that make is healthy for the children but they don't realize it. Their beet loaf and zucchini muffins are a great hit. We enjoy their customer service, everyone that works at RFRK are very helpful and go way beyond to help their customers. They also do take out for families who want to order from their online ordering. Since kids love the food at the center, parents order in bulk for their home. Really impressed with them!!

I found out about RFRK through a mom FB group and then one of the daycares my daughter went to used them for catering. We now order their home delivery so we can enjoy the food at home and they have vegetarian options which suits us. Would love to see more though. The food is tasty, healthy and my daughter loves it. Whenever a friend is has a baby, I also order RFRK for them so they don't have to cook with a newborn. Makes a nice new parent gift. I also order the home delivery if we have a cottage vacation coming up so I don't have to cook during the trip. I love the new individual food pouches too.

My granddaughter's daycare uses this caterer and she absolutely loves the food often requesting seconds. Our daughter got us onto the home delivery and we have been very please with the efficient and well packaged delivery service. While we haven't tried every meal we have ordered many of the selections and all are fabulous. There are some stand outs that everyone should try:- the Cocoa Beet Loaf (really even if you are not partial to beets - it is very moist and tasty. You however need to consume it within 4 days of thawing -has never been an issue even between two people)-Sri Lankan Chicken is delicious.-Meatballs are a hit -quick and ready for various pastas.-Avocado Bean Guacamole dip-fantastic with tostitos. Disappears very quickly so we need to order several at a time.It is also great to support a local company that sources locally.

As a busy parent I find these meals so helpful on nights I can't muster the energy to start from scratch or when we're zipping off to after school programs. We always have a few meals in the freezer to choose from. My 9yo son also loves preparing the magic pouches for his lunches at school - so much better than a sandwich in the cold weather. Best part is I know I can trust the ingredient list and I don't feel like I'm compromising on my family's health when I'm taking a short-cut on meal prep! We also love giving these meals as gifts. They're always well received and eaters of all ages love them.
