I have dealt with Parkland Vet a number of times over the past four years. From typical shots to helping me with my very nervous rescue dog. Figuring out how best to integrate him into my home, which shots he should get and how to help him go from a life of pit fighting violence to family pet.We have had life saving surgery two days before Christmas for my daughters cat. Diagnosing cancer and saying goodbye to my husbands cat. And everything in-between.The one thing that never changes is the AMAZING care for both fur baby and fur parent. Parkland Vet is worth the drive and I will never go anywhere else.

Dr. Waterman is incredible. I can't thank him enough. I wish I could give more than 5 stars! (This is a lengthy review, I will warn you now). To understand how big of an impact he has had, you'd have to understand where we've been. Beginning in January 2018 - my west highland terrier, Sophie, developed blistering rashes on her lower lips, chin, shoulders, back, bum and tummy (photos attached). For 5 months, my dog was followed by a Vet in Edmonton (not Dr. Waterman) who assured me it was a food allergy, and basically just something we'd have to work out. We changed her diet - she was put on a limited ingredient dog food - treats were dehydrated meat only - everything else was removed. The rash began to worsen and spread. Every two weeks, we'd return to get more antibiotics, and were told the same story 'it's an allergy'. Frustrated, and tired of spending hundreds of dollars seemingly getting no where, I searched online and found Parkland Vet Clinic. The entire experience was pleasant. Beautiful clinic and friendly staff. That's when we met Dr. Waterman. Great bedside manner, and fantastic with animals. Upon reviewing Sophie's scabs - he said this is NOT an allergy!" He suspected Staph Infection and suggested that we remove her from all antibiotics so that we could do a culture and sensitivity to find exactly what the bug was susceptible to - instead of blindly treating her

Fantastic vet in my first few visits. Most recently I showed up a day early for a Solensia shot for my elderly cat due to my mistake. They managed to squeeze me in and the vet tech took the time to tell me about other patients experiences and suggestions on how to help my old man lose some weight.

I find Dr. Wood very amusing and down to Earth. She tells it like it is and her experience shows through her no nonsense and skilled approach. I appreciate her direct ways and I believe that my pets do too!

Been going here since 2015 for my dogs. I heard they were a little cheaper. They are super professional and transparent. Their techs are efficient and personable, and I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes to get into my appointment or do a drop off.My dogs have had 3 or 4 minor surgeries in past with Parkland, most recently with Dr Newton. They have done excellent work every time.

The whole Parkland Vet team has been amazing with our two furry family members over the last 5+ years. We have our fair share of unexpected health concerns over the years and multiple surgeries. They are always so kind, knowledgeable and professional. The reception staff are always so busy and navigate SO much at the front desk and still always welcome us and others with such kindness. They have helped us navigate so many frustrations with insurance as well. The vet techs are all so amazing as well. And every doctor we have encountered has been so knowledgeable and kind. We also appreciate that when they don’t know or can’t help, they send us with a clear plan to a specialist. They never cease to amaze us with how much time and effort they put forward for us. Just an outstanding team!

They were able to see my dog, recommend surgery, perform surgery, and release him to my care with detailed instructions for further care in an extraordinarily short amount of time. An absolutely wonderful collection of staff that cared for my dog today and I am extremely grateful he is in your care. This is the best place to take your pet. Thank you so much.

Excellent centre, very kind and patient staff. Dr Waterman is fantastic, he actually cares and is thorough and told me all the things my dog is at risk for. New to the area, so this was the first time my dog saw Dr Waterman and it was very positive.

My cat was very lethargic (he is usually extremely energetic), hanging his mouth open and drooling a ton. He seemed stiff whenever he decided to walk.I took him to parkland vet because it was close and I didn’t want to drive him to the city since he doesn’t love car rides. The vet examined him and basically just shrugged his shoulders saying he didn’t know what the problem was. He told me I can run a bunch of tests, but those are expensive, and I don’t know which ones to run so it would be a waste of my money trying to figure out what the problem is. I paid $75 for a vet to tell me he doesn’t know.I took him to a vet in the city who immediately told me he has a fever. She instantly recommended a blood/chemistry test which helped us figure out what the problem was.Now after the correct treatment, my cat is back to normal, no thanks to parkland vet. The Edmonton vet has called me 3 time’s to check in on my cat, parkland vet has not called once.
