Myself and my sister did a short RV trip and visited this museum. We are interested in history and found it very interesting. Enough so that I returned and volunteered for a couple of weeks. This is a great museum if you want to add some history to your experiences .

I was very impressed with the amount of carraiges that are in the museum. I have a friend that has always spoke highly of the museum and I was finally able to visit it and I was very happy that I had taken the time to visit it and step back in time.

Such interesting history of transportation until early motors. It’s particularly interesting to consider the negative ramifications of large scale urban animal powered transport. I was fortunate to have multiple days to view and read all exhibits. There is a lot to take in. Very family friendly.

Nice place to visit with kids. There are no rides until July so plan to visit in July if you want to ride in the carriages.

This Museum is beautiful inside and out.We were welcomed by a very nice lady and the prices aren’t that high to enter into the museum. They even offer Carriage rides to go behind the creek! (totally worth it to be honest)The layout of the museum and how the carriages are displayed is wonderfully done! You can really see the history and evolution of the carriages. The gift shop by the front door is cute, you will definitely take something home with you after experiencing the rich history from this museum.10/10 would definitely go again.Great place to go with family and kids.

We were very pleasantly surprised with the exhibits and history portrayed at this beautifully kept museum! This museum alone is a good reason to take a weekend and go down to Cardston. There were so many carriages that were made and designed in Canada! O definitely enjoyed this lovely museum! There are several museums and historical sites to take in! It is a quiet town with a musical theater in town that is playing 3 different plays this summer. We did not take in one this time around. Wonderful accommodations to chose, great B & B's, South Country Inn and Lee Creek campground was lovely for our 4 night stay. Well worth the drive! Don't miss out on another historical highlight within Alberta!

Another adventure yesterday to Cardston Alberta, home of the Remington Carriage Museum (220 km from my home in Calgary, close to the Montana border). This museum is outstanding, and is the largest carriage museum in the world.... really big place would not be overstated. Mr Don Remington was the visionary......an amazing individual. Google him if you like.. The hospitality of the staff was superb. Our guided tour (approximately 40 minutes in duration) was well done. The gentleman (I am so sorry for forgetting his first name) was thoroughly knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the amazing collection housed in this beautiful museum. He was outstanding! As big as this place is, it still could be larger to provide the vast collection even more justice. It is difficult to see anything displayed on the second and third shelves. The very first piece (sleigh) that Mr. Remington restored, and what is arguably the raison d'etre for the museum today, is located in an obscure location on the third shelf in the main area. In my humble opinion it should be at the entrance where the McLaughlin display is located. It should be a showcase item because of it's inherent importance as the story essentially commenced with this priceless item in all it's banged up, taped together glory.George Woolf, the legendary jockey who rode Sea Biscuit to victory over Triple Crown Winner War Admiral (unless you have lived under a rock and have not seen the 2003 movie Sea Biscuit you know who I am talking about) was born in Cardston, and is a feature at this museum.I highly recommend a visit to this spectacular museum.
