Local Boys Pools

They closed our pool last year with no issues and wanted to use them to open this year.I left for a minute and came back to the sight of them pulling the cover and dumping all the dirty pool cover water into the pool. I asked why did they do that and it went real downhill with answers like you need to change your liner and your pool is leaking and we shouldn't fill it up. With no real answer or accountability. I asked them to leave because they lost my trust.It's taken us over 5 days to keep vacuuming and cleaning a pool we closed perfectly clean. Lots of leaves, debris and dirt all in the pool. And to top it off they tried to push a liner replacement instead of admitting fault and provide a solution.To those who don't know... Even amateur DIYers would pump the nasty water off the cover before removing it instead of dumping it in the pool and taking days to clean it off. Cover pumps cost under $100 and can do the job in little time. We had also asked them if they would pump the nasty water off when they open our pool (when they closed it) and they said of course they would.

Local Boys changed my pool system from a chlorine system to an ionizing one. I am thrilled. I have gotten great advice and personalized service. Mitch advised me on pool stairs, sourced them and then installed them. The stairs are the right size and are sturdy. It’s so much easier to access the pool. Also did winterized and opening services.Highly recommend. You will get a personalized experience and great service.

Here is my very recent experience from Local Boys Pools. We contacted them to come close our pool at the end of September and scheduled it for October 18th. October 18th arrived and we had a no show. I contacted the phone number on their website to see what happened and the person that answered the phone (did not get a name but I am assuming it was the owner) said that it was weird his tech did not show up and he couldn’t get a hold of the tech either. He apologized for the inconvenience and he said he can come by Saturday (Oct 22). He also mentioned he can possibly come before Saturday and he will keep me posted. I understand that things happen so I agreed for Saturday and awaited for a call back if he can come earlier then Saturday. I followed up with the same phone number twice via text confirming my appointment for Saturday Oct 22 and got no reply and another no show. So I would suggest using another company to open/close your pool as they wont show up nor follow up with their clients. Very bad customer service. During this waiting period I could have book another company but I trusted and waited for Local Boys.. That was a mistake. I normally write good reviews for companies on google but I felt I should share my experience with this company to save some time for others.

Highly recommend! We needed a repair done and they responded right away. Gave us good advice over the phone and in person. They are honest, reasonably priced and they work fast. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their services.

Nice honest opinions, showed me how to maintain, changed the sand in the filter, responses always for any required suggestions. Very happy with the service. Looking forward for pool closing and opening services too.

My above pool pump let go late in the evening over the weekend. I contacted this company and they replied immediately with great communication and professionalism. They were able to accommodate my needs right away.They went as far as providing me a loaner pump temporary until mine was ready.Two days later my new pump was installed without any issues.The quote provided was accurate and the price was great, They are a small locally own company with a personnel touch, which you don't always get with bigger companies.They followed all proper Covid 19 protocols and were very pleasant to work with.I would recommend this company to anyone who requires pool servicing or work.I look forward to referring them as much as possible and to use their services for many years to come.
