Tatamagouche Railway Dining Car
I usually don’t post reviews because I know many are false or put here by staff or friends, and skewed to the positive. This is my honest opinion. We paid $50 for a meal worth $15. The much-hyped pizza as eerily similar to the ones you get at the frozen section of local supermarkets. The chowder looked and tasted like it was made with skim milk. Considering we had to wait 15-20 minutes for it to be prepared, we thought it was being cooked. Everything appeared to be microwaved. Very disappointing, and I would not recommend eating here. The atmosphere etc. was okay, but the food is terrible. Waste of money.

After travelling for 9 days we were very tired and fed up but.... we stumbled across this amazing little place. We had the best lunch. The hot chocate was amazing. The staff were outstanding. And the ambiance was perfect. I will be telling all my freinds about it!!

This was a sweet little spot. Some gifts shops and diners. Dining took place in a train car. Super cool. Like stepping back in time. Loved the decor and how things were set up . Great history and nice walking trails as well.Friendly staff and farmers market on site on the weekend

Came here today with out of country guest who have googled the restaurant prior to coming to canada. They were not disappointed! We are locals and first-timers and we too were pleasantly surprised by the warm and friendly dine in staff and unique experience. The food was good and nicely presented. Met the owner Jimmie in the well curated gift shop, lots of interesting things to see. Coffee and brownies was good too. Must try at least once, Nice to come back to even for locals. Will try the overnight accommodations next…

Did my homework, read the reviews, traveled to try it out. Arrived to be asked if I had a reservation. I did not. Was politely turned away :-( I do however highly recommend their neighbors at Big Al’s lounge.

Nice little day trip! We went in the fall and it was picture perfect!Gift shop had lots of options. We didn’t eat at the restaurant but I’ve heard lots of positive things about the food! Definitely will try next time! :)

The Tatamagouche Railway Car restaurant at the Train Station Inn gets five stars because their service was certainly the best that my family has encountered. The waitresses were always a stones' throw away from us, catered to our toddler and served our food moments after ordering.The restored dining car was clean, had authentic decor and antique items, and was presented nicely.I wish that my seafood gratin came in a larger size because it was delicious.Will make this spot a yearly visit for sure
