Coles

Not a very big selection, you're better off ordering online.

While searching for a specific book title, I discovered the novel I wanted. A call to Truro had Coles hold the book and give me the few days needed to make the trip to pick it up. The staff was pleasant and friendly, and helpful. I look forward to going back to this shop.

It's just a small store, but has a decent selection. Staff are friendly and offer good suggestions.

Great selection of books. My 4 year old was over the moon to pick out old favourites and new stories.

I was in Truro yesterday at the mall. I entered the store and was immediately approached by a salesperson. I thought she was going to assist me but she came after me for not wearing a mask. I wear a shield (which provides more protection than a mask) since I am unable to wear a mask. This apparently was not good enough for her. I proceeded to tell her that I will shop elsewhere. I went to several stores in the mall with no issue. There was also a kiosk in the mall concourse and the worker there was wearing a shield so obviously it is an alternate option for the mall kiosks. If businesses choose to act as an agent of the government, then they will be held to the same standards. I am filing a complaint with Better Bsuiness for discrimination. Go Woke Go Broke. PS I bought the book I was looking for online.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I only gave 4 stars as they didn't have the selections that I wanted but they did help me locate them.

I absolutely love the staff here. They are helpful and remember me and what I read. One of my favourite places to shop!

Went in with my 3 year old to check in on the availability of a book. Was Immediately harassed by the “policy police” in regards to my three year old not wearing a mask. Provincial law regarding masks states that children 2-4 don’t require a mask if their caregiver can’t get them to wear one. My son just keeps throwing his off and doesn’t understand so we don’t try to force it. I understand Covid affects us all and I’m very much pro science and mask but this was over the top given the situation with very little empathy for a father trying to shop with a toddler. Ironically, in the past I’ve gone in to Coles only to have the employees sitting around chatting and not bothering to help me whatsoever; but give the opportunity to scare off customers with “policy” they jump up and waste no time.During these times I’d love to shop local and support my community rather than shop on the internet but if I can’t rely on understanding and empathy from local retail when I have no choice to bring my child than I’ll Just give my hard earned money to Jeff Bezos
