My wife had a terrible experience with these karate instructors and their school. They are arrogant, disorganized, and greedy.. and because their brand of karate evolves around subservience to the sensei.. you'll be paying for the privilege. Belt testing is overly crowded, disorganized and dangerous. My wife was injured by another student with mental issues, and then chastised for complaining about it. The sensei is beyond reproach! DO NOT pay for more than a week in advance, when you discover what we did (and you will in time).. you'll want to walk away without loosing major $$... in our case 10 months of lessons fees ($1200). Lesson learned the hard way!

I have been training here in Karate and Tai Chi for nearly 6 years and have had an excellent experience. The dojo has a welcoming atmosphere, and it rewards hard work and focus. Hasu Dojo also has many high-level female black belts training and teaching - as a female student, this has greatly benefited my training and confidence. My physical strength, fitness, health, and focus have improved greatly through my training with Sensei Williams at Hasu Dojo.I previously trained seriously in two other arts throughout childhood and university, and I noticed early on that the curriculum at Hasu Dojo was very robust and dynamic. Sensei Williams has an extremely in depth knowledge of the martial arts, and both the physical and philosophical aspects of the art are explored in class. The instructors are all very knowledgable and supportive.

Horrible experience here Patrice Williams is an arrogant instructor who seems nice at first but it’s really not the type of person you want to have training yourself or your kids… He was very abusive to my son

I've been training at Hasu Dojo for over 13 years and find that the training is more than excellent. It is truly exceptional!I have continued training there for so many years because as a woman I have found it to be a very safe place to train. Sensei has an eye for detail and is tough yet supportive. There are many male black belt who are stronger and technically better than I am but who are always willing to work with me and help me to improve my technique and I certainly appreciate that. There is less of an atmosphere of competition and more of an incredible atmosphere of collegiality and a sense of wanting to learn together and to move forward.I always feel great after class, no matter how tired or lousy I felt when I came in. It is a great place to train if you have a focus on self improvement or if you have a spiritual bent, or if you are willing to take responsibility for your own actions. The training has been an incredible benefit to my life. It has been intense but it has taught me to be more organized, how to prioritize what it really important, not to sweat the small stuff and how to develop an attitude of gratitude and a focus on self-improvement at all times.I especially want to thank Sensei Williams for all the time and effort he has spent giving me feedback and great advice about my training and about the Budo Approach to Living Life. Thank you! Ooos!

We are very happy to have this place in our neighborhood. During last year and a half Sensei Williams helped our son a lot to overcome his fears and weknesses and develope controle of his body and mind. My son's self esteem grew a lot thanks to this activity. He worked hard and recently was awarded a yellow belt. This is a place for helping kids become little warriors and winners in sport and life as well!

I have been training at Hasu dojo for 15 years now, and would highly recommend it. I find the training rewarding, and enjoy that Sensei teaches not just the physical aspects, but also the traditions and spiritual aspects of martial art. As a woman training, I find the dojo atmosphere welcoming and safe, and I have made good friends over the years.

Sensei Williams is the best. He is kind, professional and truly devoted to his students and their personal growth. I am a 4 time Olympic Medical Team Physiotherapist who has worked with several of Sensei William’s students, to ensure that they are gaining fitness at a safe pace and that they each have individualized development programs. I have to say, I am very impressed with this dojo, I highly recommend Martial Arts Toronto as a place where you can safely develop your physical fitness, your mental health, and your insight. Have a great day everyone. Joan.

I have been training at Hasu Dojo for 11 years. As a Dojo, you will not find a higher calibre martial arts training than here. As an organization, CMAC has a Classical Martial Arts culture, which fosters self-improvement and expression. All of the instructors still train, which makes for a supportive and compassionate experience. Yet everyone is driven toward personal excellence. The training here goes beyond the physical, developing the mental and spiritual self too. This is so much more than just a gym!

A friend recommended Hasu Dojo and Sensei Williams to me after his son had taken many years of karate training at the Dojo. My son was 6 at the time and was instantly hooked. He has continued with his karate training for 9 years and has even taken additional classes. Sensei Williams has guided him throughout those 9 years. The classes provide excellent physical activity, greater self-confidence and increased focus. I remain grateful to my friend for recommending this dojo and Sensei Williams to me. It has been a great experience for my son.

Wonderful Family-Friendly Karate Program. Our girls have been going for over 6 years. They've learned valuable lessons about discipline, determination and focus. Can't say enough about the positive difference its made in our girls' lives. Sensei Williams is a remarkable teacher and leader.
